| Nyx quirked an eyebrow at William at his question.
Patience is a virtue. He'll be here soon enough.

| Surely enough, Fred arrives by his trusty bike within the minute. He parks it near the coterie and walks up to them.
Present and ready, shall we commence the task at hand immediately?

| "Indeed, let's initiate the plan." William added and began walking up to the place where they saw the missing Nosferatu pause, once near, he made sure to keep his face and body rather turned away from the location where he now knew to be a camera, albeit not enough to appear as if he was purposefully avoiding it. If he saw no one around, he'll walk up to the location and investigate. | |

| William walks toward the building, and Duncan nods at Nyx and says:Right then. Guess it's our turn. With that, the Brujah starts to check out the parking lot for Momo's stolen car. He doesn't seem to expect Nyx to follow him; he assumes she will check things out in her own way, without his input.- ST:
Duncan checks for signs that a car or bike was stolen; forced door lock, broken window, dangling ignition wires, etc. He doesn't check for signs of the lock being picked; that would take too long, and probably require more light to detect. However, signs that a vehicle has been there for a few days will draw his attention-- excess dust on the windshield, advertising flyers still under the wipers, etc..

| - Nyx:
Igor is calling.
- William:
The place was dug recently enough. "Damnit". But after a closest inspection of the bushes and the dirt and with some luck, using his phone's light to look around, William notices a small SD card that was not found. Maybe someone who has better skills are observing traces may find something else, like general directions and steps..
- Duncan:
Unfortunately for Duncan, there are at least a dozen vehicles in the close surroundings that would be stolen (or wrecked enough to look stolen). There are about half of them that actually look like trash and that they haven't moved in a while (papers, fliers, some dust and dirt, too much oil just below it indicating they haven't moved..). However, only one poor grey sedan looks like it has been there for less than three months (and more than a couple of days for the week end). The doors are of another color, and the plates have had a little paint on them (a 9 was turned into an . It looks like a moving trashcan, where someone was living inside at some point.

I presume you've taken into account that our stats were updated last Teamspeak event? :-p William came to the plot of ground in which they saw the missing Nosferatu kneel, he looked around at the surrounding area, making sure nobody was present other than him and, although he didn't look back, Fred, if the Malkavian had followed him.
He studied the ground as he kneeled without touching the dirt with his knees, and noticed the ground was upheaved, as if someone had been digging very recently, so the ground hadn't settled back in."Ahh hell...." he whispered to himself as he took out his cellphone and activated the light while his pupil dilated as he focussed auspex, whom he usually had on his hearing, on his sight.
Feeling and prodding around the loose dirt and brushing his hand methodically through the brushes, he felt nothing, until his finger chanced upon something soft and small. Picking it up and held it before him and pointed the light of the phone on it, he saw a blue SD card, and a grin appeared on his face, jackpot. He brushed his thumb over the object and wiped it on his pants a few times to get rid off the filth it might have accumulated, he loosened a rubber line from his cellphone and revealed an external SD slot, and shoved the chip inside, and covered the slot once more. Taking a few more moments to see if there might be footprints or possibly, indications that a certain giovanni with heels has been here, he straightened himself and regarded his phone."Let's see what you've left us?" he said to his phone as a popup appeared on his screen stating 'attempting to read' after he opened it up in his storage explorer application. Meanwhile he got up and waited for Fred, once he came near, he looked up, making sure his facial profile would not be caught on camera."The ground has been touched, whomever did it was either looking for something or erasing clues or whatnot. Or both. See if you can find clues or similar, footprints, smells, who knows, everything can be useful. Especially if it was a certain Italian with striking legs and heels, if you get my drift." The Tremere said in a hushed voice, appearing casual enough to any observers, like they were looking for something they lost, which was sort of true, albeit the something being someone.

| Nyx began searching quite methodically, she chose a different direction from Duncan.
When the phone in her pocket vibrated she pulled it out, looked at the screen and then picked up. She continued her search.
When she a spoke she kept her voice quiet to not be overheard.- Igor:
Hello Daddy. Got my message I assume?
- ST:
Nyx moved a bit slower and did take a moment to see if the locks had been picked, she also looked for more obvious signs of a break in.

| Duncan stops by a car that seems to show promise -- a grey sedan with two off-color doors. He looks toward Nyx and makes a little head gesture to get her attention, although it's not immediately apparent whether she noticed.
He then walks around the car, examining the doors. However, instead of trying them, he bends down to look under the car, and checks the hood to see if he can open it without pulling a lever inside.- ST:
Duncan checks to see if the car is wired before he tries the doors. If he sees nothing underneath, and nothing suspicious around the hood, he will try to make the hood pop up a bit by smacking it with the heel of his fist, right above the hood release. Not too loud; but hopefully hard enough to do the trick if it's old & loose.

The SD card is small, it was from a phone, extra memory it seems. Sadly, they're encrypted, and it'll take some time to break it (or at least a good desk and proper working conditions with the laptop. And yes of course I included your spent XP
- Nyx:
Igor's voice sounds worried, surprised. (Igor) Blood bound?! Are you serious? I mean, are you sure?
- Fred:
Far more used to watching traces, follow people (mostly thanks to Laurent's given missions), and curious about movements, Fred is quick to notice that beyond William's traces, there are very recent traces. Probably from tonight. But the person was fairly in a hurry. Fred can also take a little piece of
- Duncan:
Duncan is quick to trace the date of theft : there are notes from MacDonald's dating from two weeks ago, with matching take out bags. He has a very easy time opening the trashcan, it wasn't wired, but inside there are some metal pieces where should be the contact key.

He confirmed it, so yeah, pretty sure.

| Once Duncan makes certain that the grey sedan is safe, he opens it up fairly quickly and searches for clues about the last driver... and the previous owner as well. He grunts and comments to himself as he looks for clues.Hunh... No switch? That explains why it wasn't stolen again. But Momo sure as hell didn't eat at McD's. Did you make it back here, M'sieur Momo? - ST:
Any registration? Duncan wants to know who actually owned the car. He thinks Momo could have known the owner. Also: Are there any signs Momo fed in the car? Or that he made it back here after his visit to Lambert's building?
Duncan doesn't really care about the mess... either Momo was the stereotypical Nossie, or he stole a trash-filled car to keep up the act, which amounts to the same thing. Duncan only cares about trash more recent than the dated receipts. He figures the previous garbage was from the former owner.
Hell, he might as well open the trunk (boot) for good measure. See if there's anything educational/valuable/important in there. (Yet he will open it slowly, so he doesn't expose anything incriminating to any surveillance cameras.)

| William tilted his head slightly to the right as Fred simply did as he was told without a peep, his eyes following the man as he made it's way to the search area. A quick shrug later, he returned his stare to his smartphone, and his neutral face betrayed a hint of annoyance before it returned back to emotionlessness.
"Of course it is," he said mostly to himself as he studied the state of the files, not that he did not expect as much, obtaining and safeguarding information was what the Nosferatu were most known for, he'd doubt the competence of the Bordeaux branch if it hadn't been, yet one could hope. Resigned, he copied the files to a hidden folder of his own memory storage, closed the application and returned the phone to his pocket without taking his findings back out as he made his way to Fred, massaging the back of his neck with one open hand, hoping the proverbial tracking dog had more luck than he was having.

| Fred searches on until William approaches at which point he pauses to report.Ah, mister William! I found some tracks here beyond yours, I believe from as early as tonight. I also believe they were made by someone in a hurry due to how the steps are placed between each other. - ST:
Anything noteworthy about how the tracks look? Regular boots or some sort of high class business shoey thing of richness?
Also what little piece of something did Fred find/could take?

| - Fred:
This is what I get for posting while being distracted >_<
Fred can take a piece of cloth that was ripped by the bushes. It can't be Momo as it seems he was used to go through that kind of stuff, but maybe by the person who came and dug whatever was to find. It's a piece of beige linen cloth, certainly from a sleeve.
- Nyx:
Igor keeps silent a moment, he then mutters words she never thought he knew. (Igor) Damn... I'm so sorry I didn't know! He told you why ?
He doesn't have much hopes about an answer but he sounds genuine. His question is also a way for him to say something, as he sounds he can't find anything smarter or more useful to tell his childe.

| Nyx continued searching cars whilst on the phone, she doesn't rush and takes time to inspect the veichles. When Igor finally spoke once again she stopped and sat on the floor pulling her legs up with her free arm until she can rest her chin on her knees.- Igor:
He said for security...
Her tone seems quite monotone, Igor would know she is attempting to suppress her feelings about this.

| I'm afraid I can only do some minor speculation as it stands, but perhaps this will be helpful? Fred hands William a piece of beige linen cloth. I believe this was ripped from the person's sleeve, I do not believe Mister Momo to be the owner of it as he is surely experienced enough to avoid such mistakes. | |

| William took the piece of fabric and studied it. "Linen... odd that one would lose a piece of fabric from merely working with a small brush..."
He glanced at Fred, then shook his head. "Maybe... no... can you see an object's history with auspex? If not, I might have to take it back to the chantry, theres bound to be someone among my clan who does have the ability... either way, let's not tarry here, the longer there are images of us on the cameras, disabled or not, the worse."

| - Duncan:
Duncan notices the insurance stamp is still valid, but he can't find anything on the previous owner, apart from the fact that he's a take-away eater, and that his car needs some cleaning and changing in the seats. The most recent Duncan can find is that receipt. It seems, if it was the car Momo stole, that he didn't leave anything behind him. The truck reveals another story, however, as it contains a disposable camera as well as picklocking material ; some wires and a few useful tools which could make up a good quality toolbox. Who knows if it belongs to the Nossie or the legitimate owner... But the presence of a flyer with a phone number, and the sentence "in the need of a friend ? Call us." could indicate it's the Nossie's contents, or at least, someone who has gotten a flyer about the Nosferatu hotline.. Masquerade friendly flyer, but clear enough for kindred to understand.
- Nyx:
Please read Duncan's precedent spoiler about cars. (Igor) Well... I dunno, sorry 'bout that, but now that you know, knowledge is power right? Uh.. need anything from me, other than that? Want me to talk to him?
Igor seems genuinely sorry, he doesn't really know what to say.
- Fred:
Fred can tell it was a man, and the piece of fabric confirms it comes from a man's shirt. The traces are also fairly not deep, meaning the person was probably not a heavy person ; the footprints seem to be of regular shoes, of regular size too. The fabric also indicates, through its cleanness that it's too clean to be of a Nosferatu's. Sadly there isn't enough dirt around for him to follow the traces, they aren't clear enough. If only Terrence was here...

| Duncan briefly writes down some information from the sedan. Afterwards he pops the trunk and looks inside. As Duncan examines the contents of the trunk, he mutters in a low voice:Well, Joyeux Noël to me. Thank you for the gift, M. Momo... or for the loan, if we see you again in this life. - ST:
Duncan writes down the number on the insurance stamp, and the real license plate number, in case he feels the need to find the previous owner.
From the trunk, he takes the flyer, disposable camera, and the lockpicks. If there is a toolbox, or any kind of sturdy bag in the car (even a paper shopping bag), he will take the tools & wires as well. Otherwise he simply sighs, and leaves them in the trunk.
Before leaving, Duncan finds an extra (clean) napkin and wipes down the areas he touched inside the car. Kindred don't normally leave fingerprints, but considering the habits of the previous owner, there may be enough grease to leave a few prints. When the Brujah finishes his search, he secures the trunk, hood, and doors once more. After that, he looks around for Nyx. She hasn't moved much from the location he saw her in last; she is apparently paying more attention to her phone than anything else.
Duncan heads toward Nyx; although he doesn't walk right up to her. Instead, he places himself about 10 meters in front of her, in her field of vision. Then he waits.

| - Igor & Duncan (I assume at that distance Duncan can hear her):
I need more information...what the fuck have I gotten into exactly? Is it the same as with when it happens to the living and shit?
If you want, maybe he'll open up to you more than me.
Igor could probably picture her shrugging at the idea. Normally Nyx didn't ask for much of anything from him, the fact that she's asked for information and agreed he could talk to him about it showed how out of her depth she was. Duncan can see Nyx noticed him long before he came to a stop, she watched him as she spoke but her expression gave very little clue to what was going on.- Alertness >3:
Her posture seemed tensed and her fist is clenched at her side.

I didn't read the top spoiler, because I assumed that 10 meters was far enough to give Nyx some privacy for her call... unless she's not bothering to keep her voice down. Duncan has pretty much admitted he doesn't have Auspex; although he did add the word "yet" at the end. Duncan is satisfied that Nyx noticed him. He seems content to wait for her to approach him, once she's finished with her call.

Igor squeaks a little under Nyx's curse, he then giggles out of nerves. (Igor) I'm sorry. I'll try but he's not really the talkative kind ya know ? And yeah, basically you're his thing, blood works exactly the same way on us than it does on animals and humans. I've heard the Sabbat can break it, but that stuff is no solution, 'kay? Also.. Mah, no. Seems it fades away over time if it's not reactivated every now and then.

okay hun :3 I wasn't sure but I doubt she'd care if he closed the distance at this point.
- Igor:
Yeah I noticed.
There was a tinge of mirth to her voice now but went back to serious. She seemed to not really notice his squeaks but she's probably used to them.
Fuck the Sabbat, i'm curious but not that bloody curious. That must have been what he did when he stayed at my haven...was fucking creepy. How long does that take?
