| Fred finishes his drink and gazes over the papers he had earlier, semi-reading them while hanging his head. | |

| Corinna offers Alicia a polite smile, though she slightly raises her hands at the words 'sectarian', as if to block her attempt to get information out of her. "Should they not be part of our decorum, as I suggested, there's nothing more I can say on this topic. My apologies, Miss Vanderstree." It doesn't seem like she feels pressed; rather, the Tremere attempts to stop the conversation from going in a direction she wouldn't like it to take. She obviously tries her utmost to be polite about the refusal, though. After listening for a while to Alicia and occasionally nodding in agreement - she clearly favours the Harpy's approach to politeness and etiquette - Corinna briefly turns to the Neonates again as Kersten is mentioned. "While the Regent may not appear to put a lot of importance to the matter of addresses and correct decorum, you should still be very polite when speaking to him. He may not seem to mind, though if he does take offense, he's likely to show it ... in a creative and unforseen way." A very diplomatic way of saying 'trolling'. As Alicia addresses her personally again, Corinna seems to remember something and nods, smiling. "Indeed I did, Miss Vanderstree. Messiers, if you would not mind, we'd like some privacy to talk. Make yourselves known to the others present, or take the opportunity to approach Igor for the Nosferatu hotline. It was a pleasure to make your acquaintance." That should be enough reason for both Neonates to find an excuse to leave, or to split up if they wanted to. Corinna waits until both of them take their leave and are actually out of hearing range before she turns back to the Harpy, still smiling politely. "Very well. It was a nice gesture of you to offer them such a crash-course in etiquette ... at least one of them needed it badly." She's obviously talking about Neb, whom she reprimanded more often this evening than she'd have liked to. She seems a bit uncomfortable now, trying to get the conversation going again is difficult for her. | |

| Alicia waves Neb when he mentions changing names.(Alicia) I'm not competent, but the Toreador Primogen is because he has his hands in administration. Have a nice evening as well. She gives a slight smile at Felix, curious and interested.(Alicia) Speaking of which, you are one with taste. I am sure you will do well, don't hesitate to ask your sire if you are in good terms. Just try not to embarass yourself alone, that's my job and pleasure. She waves both neonates goodbye and turns to face Corinna, inviting her to walk a bit further away, to allow privacy between them two. She asks an idle question to keep the conversation flowing, and she's good at it.(Alicia) So, it is possible to offend your Primogen? - Corinna, auspex 1, acute sense hearing, spying stuffetc:
Her question didn't really hope for an answer, but Alicia is very good at making sure her conversational partner feels at ease, making a effort to follow the flow of the conversation, being polite, but not blunt and not really forcing. She has the skill of the conversation, for sure. With a friendly smile, Alicia answers Corinna's question. (Alicia) Making fun of the uneducated is of no use. Now they know, so let the games begin...
She turns all serious. (Alicia)Miss Ansons, I heard.. A certain Vonzel was in the custody of the Tremere clan, to be executed tonight. Is it true?
She isn't trying to hide she knows the name, or knows the kindred mentioned. She even looks a little vulnerable ; it could be an act, but considering what Corinna knows, it is likely to be sincere, but one never knows...
Mirle blinks and chuckles at the comic book reference, but Griffin didn't seem to get it. He did get the idea ; Orlov was seen at the windows, and hence, his presence is known to at least a few people. He seems to be hearing many references that he doesn't know of, but he has learned to let them slide and get the main idea. That and showing ignorance is a definite don't. The Tremere harpy doesn't comment on William's curriculum any further, but he does stare at him when he talks, seemingly disapproving. The stare is deep and even oppressing. He eventually looks away and comments on the Setite issue. The issue of Felix Sommier is, however, silent.(Jean-Pierre) Do not judge a kindred by her clan, and it is not French etiquette. It's about knowing when to keep silent when one must. So you know, local Followers always tried to be as accepted as they could be. It's like thinking all Brujah are only skilled Anarch fighters. He gives a glance at Duncan when he mentions the Brujah, knowing he agrees with him. Eventually the young Toreador comes around to add something to the conversation.(Miriel) Mhmm keeping silent is something I can do well, can't I? Yes, very eager to meet them... She says so tilting her head slightly to the side, curious, and once she has found her question, she asks.(Miriel) I did have a question, if I may... Are things any, let's say, "different" without your Primogen ? (Jean-Pierre) It's something that cannot be helped. Without breaking clan secrets, and as far as I'm concerned, I just wait for it to be over and ignore the chaos. Let us say traditionalists tend to have traditional ways, while Primogen Kersten tends to be loud. Neither are the most pleasurable, both have flaws. He doesn't say so, but he also sees that both have also qualities.(Miriel) I see. Thank you. Jean-Pierre stands with a slight nod to Miri when she thanks him.(Jean-Pierre) Enjoy your evening, then. Unless something else asked, the Harpy leaves the neonates, letting know with a slight hand movement that Felix and Neb-uau should meet those at that table. The Tremere walks to Jerome, Claudia and Laure ; all three of them stand (Laure letting go Jerome's hand) and then invite him to take a seat. - Fred:
When reading the papers that William did not take, Fred finds a piece of early 2000's newspapers, after Robert's execution, about the same fire which killed the Lassard family. During his "training" he had a news paper about it as well, as recent events, but this news paper is about a "memory march" for the 15th anniversary of the arson. The news paper's cut he now has in hand also shows a picture of the three deceased, a young girl at about 8, a very normal but happy brunette, and.. Fred himself, with shorter hair, less dark circles under his eyes, more healthy looking body (a bit more fit, standing straight...), and younger looking. It was a picture from the early 1980's, so around five years prior to the death of everyone. It's a christmas family portrait, in front of a nice christmas tree, with many gifts. It's not as cliché as one can imagine, but they're the perfect picture of the happy family.
- Duncan:
Miri had that look of "knowing something" when she asked Griffin her question. The Brujah can certainly guess there was something else going on... maybe to gauge his reaction in a supernatural way ? Of course she's keeping it secret, for now.

| Corinna follows Alicia a bit away from peering eyes (or rather ears) and can't help but snort at her rhethorical question, more or less amused."I have not had the doubtful pleasure of being the subject of a reprimand due to the Regent being offended, but I assure you that there are quite a few ways in which he may take offense. They may only tangentally touch upon etiquette, or in an unexpected way, but the possiblity to offend him is very real." Again, she tries to be as diplomatic as possible about the topic of the Regent's so-called trolling, though she deliberately sticks to a more generalized statement, since this is likely not what both of them want to talk about.- Alicia, I Spy With My Little Eye, Auspex 1, Enhanced Hearing, and all the other voodoo stuff:
Corinna's demeanour turns serious aswell; she doesn't smile anymore, and is obviously on guard, watching the Harpy very closely and paying little attention to the rest of Elysium. She takes her time to answer, aswell, with her lips pursed and her hands clasped behind her back. "You have heard, Miss Vanderstree? I don't suppose you'd care to name the source of this information, now, do you?" It's a rhethorical question; she just asks to be sure she hasn't missed the opportunity to ask. After a brief moment of intense thinking and frowning, she shakes her head slightly. "I'm not entirely sure whether I'm allowed to answer your question, but since I recently found a very interesting tidbit of information concerning this topic, I'll grant you this much..." She pauses briefly, looking at the Harpy with a very serious glare, to put emphasize on the veiled threat in her words before continuing. "Monsieur Vonzel was indeed our ... hm, let us say guest for a while. Your information is correct; he will be handed over to Prince Gosuin tonight for the purpose of a process. I trust you will keep this quiet? The others will find out in due time, and we wouldn't want them to jump to conclusions ahead of time, without all the ... information they may need." The Librarian doesn't have the right looks to be intimidating, especially since Alicia is of higher status than her, but merely by hinting at the fact that she knows something of the other she hopes to put pressure on the right kind of nerves. She also doesn't give a death glare like she did when Neb was disrespectful to her, but her look is very serious and tense.

| Thank you, sir. Duncan echoes Miriel's 'thank you' to Griffin.
After the harpy walks away, Duncan takes out his phone and turns it back on, although he turns off the ringer and text alert entirely. He notices that there was another text message received while it was turned off, but he merely frowns as he considers whether or not to reply, and mutters to the others at his table.- Fred, Miriel, William, Auspex=1, acute hearing, crystal ball, etc.:
So, we're encouraged to meet the new guys and give them some tips on how to be Kindred, since they are "not as used to it" as we are. Yet M. Griffin didn't answer my question about how long that Toreador Sommier has been around. Can you say "Freshly Embraced?" Duncan leans back in his chair and sighs, and resumes talking in a more conversational tone.Ah, well. I suppose I should be glad I spent a few years in Paris, getting used to being Kindred. It gave my sire a chance to tell me a few things, although I was getting kind of bored. Maybe one shouldn't judge Kindred by their clan, as M. Griffin suggests. Yet some of those clan stereotypes exist for a reason. Most of the Brujah in Paris are the rowdy anarch types. I guess the trick is to not let the stereotype cause you to underestimate someone before you get to know them better. For example, I hear some Toreador are actually useful in a fight. Duncan grins at Miriel to let her know he's teasing her. Then he composes a brief text message, and sends it.- Text message to Nyx:
Sorry, had to turn phone off. Nothing definite- just a feeling. Be careful.

"Alright, Miriel distracts him, Duncan you take him out and I'll find out how old he is." William leaned back."I'm kidding." "And maybe a toreador is useful if she is obsessed with swordplay, or shotguns, or BIGGER guns!" He grinned."But a kindred is always useful in some way, those that aren't don't survive. A silver tongue wouldn't get you out of everything, no matter what the Ventrue like to proclaim. But if you wish to meet the new ones, we could always attach a fish hook to our blushing Toreador here, pinch her cheeks a few times before we throw her out and reel them in."

| But what if our bait is stolen by the two pretty boys? She might just decide they're better company. Duncan finally takes a few sips of his drink, before he continues.
As an alternate plan, we could all stand up and walk over there, and say hello. Call me crazy-- um, no offense, Fred -- but that might just work.
His statement to Fred seems to remind Duncan that the Malkavian is still there.
Fred? What do you think about meeting the new Kindred? It might help take your mind off of your troubles. It's always good to make new friends, right?

| - Corinna, spying people, etc:
Alicia Vanderstree seems not to see how could Lyle Kersten be offended, and she makes an effort to let it know through her expression as she hears Corinna's explanation. She then nods, hearing what she has to say about their true subject of conversation. Her slight smirk and her shaking her head in denial answer her question ; she won't tell who told her, but her eyes are apologetic about it. She then nods with a slight "of course" when she is asked to keep it quiet. She's holding herself quite well, but she takes the matter very seriously and she doesn't hide it. (Alicia) I came because one of my ghouls was stolen from myself three nights ago. Next thing I know, I am summoned here to explain his actions, as it seems the poor thing attempted an act against our Prince. About Vonzel.. I tried to track him down for a while.. Since December.
December. She obviously means the precedent Sabbat attacks, to which, Corinna knows, she was present ; Alicia was in Elysium with her ghouls and she was helping getting rid of those who entered the lower rooms, alongside with Thomas Durieux and Christophe de Bri Leveque, or at least, according to the studies Corinna had made with Claudia on Wednesday when she was investigating Annabelle's going missing on the back artist doors.

| Fred has since begun crying quietly from reading further into the papers. He stares at them blankly, only coherent enough to make sure any drops of blood don't fall on it; he does need to present it afterall.
When addressed it takes a moment before he looks up at Duncan, barely bothering with wiping his tears.
Sorry, I was not paying the appropriate attention. Can I assist? Judging from his voice, Fred is still doing what he can to prevent himself from causing a scene; the sadness is very apparent. At least his voice have a little bit more emotion to it now.

| William notices Fred is reading the papers once more. Looking confused, he felt his inner jacket pocket and finds the papers missing. He raised an eyebrow at the malkavian for breaking the fabric of time and space, but did not comment.

Duncan becomes a bit uncomfortable when Fred starts to cry. But he hides it well. Duncan clasps Fred on the shoulder as William talks, and adds his own comment afterwards.Fred, you need something to take your mind off of this for a while, and meeting new people is as good as anything. You can come back to this stuff when you see the Sheriff, or Xavier... or Victor. Um, does anyone have a handkerchief? Duncan looks to William or Miriel, as he mutters: Have to start carrying one of those.

| Napkin is drawn out of Miri's pocket with a smirk, and she hands the pack over to Fred, making it slide on the table. (Miriel) Keeping those in handy, as well as girl stuff... Where did you guys learn your masquerade, please ?
She smiles back at the fighting comment. (Miriel) Some can indeed defend themselves...
She stands slowly, points at Neb, then at Felix, and raises her voice across. (Miriel) Oh young handsome boys why don't you join my male Harem ?

Hello, my name is Neb-uau Mubarak. I am afraid that I do not currently have a more French name. And might I ask your name and those of your friends?

| William takes out a pack of small paper tissues. "Always take paper, easier to burn than cloth. Less expensive too."
Once Miriel beacons the new guys over, the Tremere rolled his eyes. "I don't think Duncan likes to share." And gave a grin at the Brujah.
"Don't feel sorry Neb-uau, " he responded (Neb-u-ooh) once the Setite had walked over and introduced himself, "they rape my name as well. I am William Wolvenheart, this is Duncan Oliver, Miriel de Boucher and... ehh, Fred." Gesturing towards every kindred as he mentioned their name.

| Fred uses the napkin at first, but switches to the paper tissues upon William's suggestion. He uses several to wipe off the blood both around his eyes and face, and on his clothes.
He pockets the papers while William introduces the coterie, and upon his own naming he gives a half-hearted;
Good evening. He is quick to turn his eyes away after the basic greeting and simply stares on the floor with a paper tissue in hand. The other used ones were placed on the table after having served their purpose.

| When Miriel calls across the déambulatoire, inviting Neb-uau and Felix to join her 'male harem', Duncan reacts by rolling his eyes and shaking his head at her cheeky humor. But he gives them both a welcoming smile, and nods his head in greeting as Neb nears the table.Good evening, M. Mubarak. ( OOC: The M. is standard abbreviation for Monsieur.) Welcome to Bordeaux. Not that I've been here much longer than you; I presented myself only last Wednesday. Please, have a seat. If Neb-uau does take a seat, Duncan waits until he's seated before he continues. So, I hear you are M. Emilio's childe. You've come to the city during interesting times. Not exactly the safest city in France; but definitely not boring. The young Brujah takes another drink from his glass, and sits back in a relaxed pose.- Perception+Alertness>4:
Duncan seems quite comfortable meeting new people, although he is very focused on the conversation at hand.

Thanks, didn't know that, I'll have Neb start using it. Takes the seat that Duncan offers him.Yes. M. Emilio embraced me during his recent trip to Egypt. I had been a ghoul and my dominator wanted to embrace me herself so as to reward me for a service I preformed, but was unable to get permission herself. Instead she was able to trade favors with M. Emilio and reward me that way. My sire has informed me of some of the more interesting events recently but I am still very much at a loss here. Takes a sip and waits to see what is said.
