Jerome smiles warmly when Duncan speaks. He nods when he introduces himself, and answers the same.
(Jerome) Jerome Lehin, Mandataire of the Toreador Clan.

He seems to think a moment about the altercation in the plaza, and seeing what he meant, he agrees.
(Jerome) I may have grown jaded of such events. They are fairly common around here, as very few members of this court are actual nobility. He doesn't seem to imply it's something bad or good, but he seems more inclined to think it's something good. I am unsure if you are going to be able to meet everyone in one go, or not even in two go's.. There are some kindred we only see once every decade, and they generally do not come to socialize, let alone socialize with neonates. They- We should maybe be more attentive, shouldn't we ?

The Toreador pauses an instant.
(Jerome) Claudia is a very nice lady, but she won't speak evil of anyone. I am afraid I will disappoint you, considering how highly she speaks of her close friends. Please, what brought you to this city in particular ?

He asks out of genuine curiosity and in hopes of making good conversation.



The Tremere Harpy makes an uncaring shrug when Jerome's regrets are mentioned.
(Jean-Pierre) Childer have survived with much more severe stigmas than their sire's regrets. Mr Lehin doesn't seem to me as the kind to hold your mistakes against you on the first few nights, but I do not know him enough to make a more educated guess.

He indicates the Deambulatoire's exit door.
(Jean-Pierre) There is someone to whom you can talk about your sire ; Claudia Vonigner. She left a little earlier with Catherina Giovanni, and I'm intrigued about their absence. If you're good with your senses, you should be able to follow the Giovanni's perfume.

When he mentions the perfume, he frowns. Obviously he thinks the Giovanni wears far too strong scents for him, and he doesn't like it.



Eric eyes over at William an instant, curious. He speaks with a formal tone.
(Eric) Somehow, you look familiar.. William, was it ? I thought since the War, the Tremere had.. some sort of an embargo on their clan around here.

William adapted his own Formal tone, albeit a tad more lighthearted than Eric.
"Actually I quite recently transferred over from Belgium, mayhaps you might have seen me during Lord Tarcisus' visit here to the Prince or the Lupin's little R&R?"

Neb looks at Armand

Sir, I was embraced in Cairo, Egypt, not in this city. Our gracious host simply granted me hospitality, for which I am truly grateful.

Neb looks sincere.

Armand nods, pleased with the answer given to him by the Setite.
(Armand) Of course, certainly. Interesting nonetheless. He really wants the Giovanni out, it seems.

After wondering a little about the implications of having one more Setite in town, Colin exchanges a look with Eric, who seems half puzzled at William's answer.
(Eric) Yes I saw you for those events. Very entertaining. But no, that's not it. TV, maybe?

Armand squints his eyes an instant to observe William with more detail, as if wanting to help his clan mate guess.
(Armand) Maybe your picture was published in the news papers. Or Paris, perhaps?
(Eric) That's a plausible probability. Were you in Paris recently?

Eric asks William with confidence he'll solve this puzzle that might haunt him for nights. That feeling when you know something but can't put your finger on it.

William raises a proper Tremere questioning brow as he slightly corrected his glasses.
"Paris... Well I briefly passed through the city on the way over here, terribly busy and crowded, not my style."

He looked thoughtful.
"I used to be a professional counter-strike player, would you happen to have an interest in electronic sports a few years back?"

Duncan listens as Jerome tells him he will have a hard time meeting everybody.  Duncan just nods.

I'll make the attempt and see what happens.  As for what brought me here, I came from Paris, hoping for a more hospitable climate.  What's more, I think I've found it.

What do you think about the plans for this evening?  Details about the attack on the church the other night will be revealed, as well as the culprit behind them.  I'm not sure we'll find out the reason for the attack, but we can't have everything.

If you don't mind my asking, M'sieur, what did M. Griffin say about your childe?

He gave a nod. "I am not entirely certain if speaking to Ms. Vonigner about my sire would be the best of things to do, but I suppose if anyone were to know about him, it would likely be her. I'll look into it. Was there anything else I could look into for you?"He asked.

ST:

Eric shakes his head again ; it wasn't just some passing.
(Eric) I know nothing of sports, let alone electronic sports. Are those sports you play with robots?

Not knowing about sports seems to be a white lie ; maybe Golf, like a good Ventrue... This lie is betrayed by Armand's wide smile, he's calling bullshit on his clanmate. Not knowing of E-sports seems very honest however. He probably never heard of them.
(Armand) Electronic sports are playing video games in tournaments. I heard there was some money to be made in the sector.
(Eric) Oh, OK. Obviously he's not interested, but not fully reluctant to the idea. I meant probably not physically.. Hm.. Oh, were you declared a missing person, perhaps?

They keep their comments about Paris to themselves but it seems they know the place well enough to agree with the adjectives given by William ; "crowded and busy".

Nyx:

Jerome indicates to Duncan he can sit if he wishes to, but he doesn't seem particularly insisting, and talking while the other stands does not seem to bother him.
(Jerome) I'm glad the city is to your liking and that you were informed enough not to be disappointed!

He seems sincere. Maybe he is an enthusiastic person after all.
(Jerome) To be fair, the evenings' event do not really interest me, but it stroke my curiosity. Who was stupid enough to attack Theodore's domain while he's in town? And a Primogen's domain, even a Tremere, while he is inside. I'm surprised there were survivors. There were, weren't they? We wouldn't be having a hearing if so. I'm not a curious person so I don't really mind not knowing.

He's fairly open about it. Jerome would rather have a simple life, it seems... When asked about Griffin, the Toreador can't help giving him and Felix a look.
(Jerome) It seems Mr Griffin knew Felix as a mortal. He didn't say anything about him, but in a nutshell, he scolded me and told me I shouldn't have sired, due to the circumstances, let alone someone who worked for him. It seems he doesn't hold it against him, and that's all I'm asking.




The Tremere Harpy smiles slightly.
(Jean-Pierre) You can ask her about Kindred society. Her candor will certainly be of some use for you to understand us better. I would like to know why have they left together, but I suppose I will ask her when she returns.

He nods and indicates the young Toreador can leave. Obviously the Giovanni leaving Elysium with a Tremere is fishy to him. That or he's worried about his clanmate (he doesn't seem so anyway).

Felix:

Nyx:

William's eyes narrow slightly.
"Quite a few years ago, the problem with kindred are that they don't leave a corpse to prove your death so the cops leave it be. I'm surprised the news reached France however, even if my family was on the wealthy side," switching to an offhand tone as his eyes settled somewhere on the distance, he continued, "However I barely resemble the boy back then, I'm surprised you even noticed. It must be another one of those missing person remembrance days, the common people seem to enjoy the drama back in Belgium. Take this Maddy for example, such a waste of time and money."

ST:

His eyes focussed back on the Ventrues with a smile of interest as he changes the subject, "And actually, it's one of the fastest growing competitive sports, we're talking about yearly prize pots of several millions, and this is at such an early stage. In Korea, it reaches obscene amounts of attention. Their national sport is a video game called StarCraft. If you're into investments and bets, you will probably encounter it in a few years from now. Not that I wish to imply you both are the Ventrue stereotype of course."

He nodded and stood. "I see. I could certainly do with a bit of fresh air for now." He reasoned as he stepped away from the table and towards the spot where Claudia had once stood. After a moment, he seemed content and looked towards Jerome. He offered his sire a light wave before he headed towards the entrance and left.

ST:

Eric smiles widely when William confirms he was, indeed, declared missing.
(Eric) I see, very interesting! I remember now ; A few years ago.. There were a couple, I recall they spoke in.. Dutch, maybe, that's why it stroke. They addressed the media about their missing son. Nowadays, young kindred really have it hard, don't they?

Armand nods when William gives details on money and e-sports.
(Armand) It's what I understood. I heard about the Korean tournaments as well as the prizes, sponsors and else. Sadly the finances and judicial worlds aren't so open for us to reach that far. Maybe if it gets popular here, I'll keep an eye open and grant you a favor for the lead.
(Eric) Even if you don't imply it, there's no secret here ; I am a financial by vocation; shares, stock options... Armand is more interested in laws and institutions. Boring, am I right?

Colin nods to confirm the information given about him, then gives Nyx a slight smile, and he asks, fairly openly, with a little candor. He makes sure to stay evasive enough.
(Armand) Can I see it, Mrs Silent, if you're the one who has it ?

William:

The Nosferatu seemed to keep her face expressionless as she continued to stick like glue to William, ensuring that the Tremere was firmly between them.

After what happened the last time a Clanmate of yours asked, fuck no.

Her tone sounded angry but it was obvious she wasn't directing her anger at Armand.

"It's not boring per say, they are powerful tools in modern society, if you have the mindset and patience for it of course, they are always valuable interests to have."

William cringed slightly a moment before Nyx's angry outburst, and afterwards, while not aware what happened last time, he had a decent guess and placed his hand reassuringly on the one she had on his shoulder.
"Now now," he said, aimed more at Nyx rather than the group, "my apologies for my companion here, but alas, I believe such objects are not something one wishes to prance about like a brand new ferrari, and it might be considered rude to ask for it's specifics due to it's rather specific nature and value." The Tremere added, trying to diffuse the situation.

Both Ventrue's eyes widen when Nyx speaks. They seem fairly surprised.
(Armand) It talks!
(Eric) Which clan mate?

Armand was quick to understand who she meant. It was neither himself nor Eric, and not the Prince, so the only option left is the Harpy. He gives a glance in her direction, which Eric seems to pick up fairly easily.
(Armand) Well there was no need to use such a foul language. He even pouts to push a little further and take the situation fairly lightly. I just asked if I could see it, there was nothing more to it. Maybe another time then.

Armand seems disappointed but he doesn't to seem to give it as much importance. Eric gives the Nosferatu a warm smile and displays a certain amount of friendliness and natural charm to talk to her.
(Eric) What has she done to you to cause such a reaction?

Both Ventrue are visibly trying to calm the situation in their own way, and Artevelt seems willing to help and solve the issue in favor of Nyx against his clan mate. Ventrue rivalry, maybe ?

Corinna enters the Elysium again, taking a moment to look around the room, then heads for Griffin's table.
"Well, what did I miss?"
She seems a lot more relaxed than after her talk with Gosuin, and manages a small smile for the Tremere Harpy when taking a seat.

The Prince and Theodore come back into the Deambulatoire just before Corinna, and everyone stands again. Both go to Gosuin's room's, whose door is left open. Neve is quick to join them.


By the time Felix leaves and Corinna comes back, Griffin's hand has been added with a glass of blood, half drunk already.
The Harpy gives a glance at Corinna when she comes back.
(Jean-Pierre) Claudia left with Mrs Giovanni. I sent Mr Sommier to find out the reason.

He doesn't sound worried, but he doesn't take it lightly either. He takes another sip of blood.
(Jean-Pierre) I take it it's the only fact that you'd be willing to consider "interesting".

Nyx did not seem to relax, their friendly demeanour only seemed to keep her ill at ease. She looked back to them when she responded pointedly ignoring the "it talks" comment.

Yes, that's what they said too.

She gave a slight sneer as she spoke.

I won't openly accuse them, I cannot prove it. Their word against my own would not ammount to much.

Alertness > 1:

William frowns, but thinks back a few nights at a certain private moment Nyx had with a certain Harpy in Claudia's apartment.
"You mean.... OOOOhhh. Right."

He takes out his phone and types in a few quick words.

Nyx:

"Well..." He began but Guison came by and he stood up briefly as the Prince and Theo passed his table before he sat down once more.

"Gentlemen, please, do take a seat, these are not matters to discuss in a standing position." he motioned to the chairs in front of the Ventrue.
