He opened the files and studied them, mildly amused by Nyx using him as a leaning stand.

Nyx turned back to William when he exclaimed in English, her eye drifted to the screen to see what he had found.

William takes back his phone and puts it back in his pocket.
"So, what now?"

Nyx watched as William moved to put his phone away.

No idea' this place isn't my area of expertise. By the way, could I have a copy of those photos please?

"You mean the physical ones? Cause I just send you the digital ones, why did you think you had to give me your e-mail?"

I'd like them on an SD if possible. Haven't got one handy at the moment though otherwise I'd just transfer them. Bar the one on my phone which is getting full.

William raised an eyebrow, then quickly touched the pockets of his jacket and pants.
"Merde, it seems I'm fresh all out of those backup SD cards I always carry around for just this particular situation! I guess you'll have to do with the digital version in your mailbox for now."

Miriel is seated quietly beside Duncan, dazed or distracted with a thoughtful expression on.

Neb's stab at the Opera causes her to raise a brow in time with Theo. They exchange glances while Neb adds something else about background, world view and dramatic flair, then the other eyebrow raises. She looks between Theo and Duncan, taking on a more attentive posture, sitting upright and tilting her head to see if she had heard him correctly. She did. Theo teases him, and the awkward moment begins to pass, but not without Miriel wincing at this or that comment about Neb's experience as a ghoul.

The topic changes to Chris, and so Miriel sports a vague frown. It deepens at the mention of Vonzel, creasing a pretty dimple into the side of her cheek, but she sighs and adds nothing.

Conversation shifts around some more, and for a while, Miriel has almost settled back into meditation when Theodore takes a break to ask her what she thinks. She just stares.

Everyone seems to have something to add, so Miriel just waits, staring. Fred finishes his casual chatter with Duncan, and so Miriel finds pause to speak softly to those currently at the table. She let's what she says sink in.

Duncan, Neb, Theo, Fred:

Nyx and William arrive, Miriel smirks, shrugging as if nothing.

She stands at Gosuin's approach, her eyes follow as he leaves with Theo. She seats herself again as the group decides what next to do .

Duncan abandons his computer, which William hooks his hands on, asking about whether Miriel peddles nudies. She simply raises a finger to her lips in a silent, conspiratorial "shh!" before returning to her usual removed demeanor.

She's content with silence while they discuss email.

Theodore didn't seem to care much for Miriel's whisper, but he did spare a smirk, as if he appreciated the joke.

Eventually, after all the ruckus, Armand Colin and Eric Artevelt decide it's a good moment to meet the neonates (now that the Prince is gone, or whatever other reason). They approach, making sure they know of their presence, without prying into the picture showing and what not. Both Ventrues seem fairly happy and interested. Armand speaks once they all noticed both of them, and because Fred is what he perceives as the oldest (or at least the one who has been the longest in town), he addresses him first with a certain natural authority.
(Armand) Good evening. Fred, care to make the introductions?

The other nods as if he agreed to it, and awaits calmly.

Fred stands up and removes his beanie as the two Ventrue arrives, showing the courtesy of a small bow.
Good evening mister Colin, mister Artevelt; I hope you are well in these troubled nights.

Fred turns towards the table and reaches out a hand as he introduces the people present.
This is mister William of Clan Tremere. This is miss Nyx of Clan Nosferatu.
This is the- No, miss..
Fred pauses and ponders for a moment.
Miss.. Miriel? Yes! Miriel de Boutcher was it? My apologies, I cannot recall.

Perhaps surprisingly, Fred's apology is directed at Miriel rather than Armand and Eric; he's actually speaking to her from his own free will!
Ah! This is mister Neb, a new arrival I understand. I believe he is one of the snakes.
Of course you know Primogen Theodore of the Brujah Clan.
Fred nods when introducing Theodore.
Another member of our group was present until recently; mister Duncan of the Brujah Clan.
If Duncan is within line of sight, he will point his hand towards him to indicate who he speaks of.

I hope you will find the various personalities gathered here to your liking, and maybe to your benefit if the good lord allows it.
Fred bows once more and backs to the side, he remains standing and does not put his beanie back on yet, he observes the two Ventrue and the rest of the table.

Fred suddenly steps forward once more.
Ah! My deepest apology, this is mister Armand Colin..
Fred holds out his hand to indicate who he is referring to.
And mister Eric Artevelt, both of Clan Ventrue. Terribly sorry about the rudeness.

With yet another bow, Fred backs away once more.

When the Prince left with Theodore and the Sheriff, some people changed discussion partners.

Laure is closer to the balconies, now talking to Igor who had stepped out a bit earlier (if my memory is corect, damnit, I need to keep a chart..).

Victor de Sainte Croix engaged a discussion with Gregory Darvault.

Jean-Pierre shakes slightly his head, not believing Felix was going to take a bottle of wine.
(Jean-Pierre) I wouldn't worry about offending or disappointing Mr Lehin. If I can explain it in basic words, as far as public gatherings are concerned, act as if you're "one of us" and you will be treated as one of us. Act like a servant and you will be treated like a servant. It doesn't sound so different from what you already know, does it?

The Tremere makes a visible shrug.
(Jean-Pierre) In this society, you will always upset someone. You will fail at keeping good relations with everyone, even if you invest all your good will into it. Accept there are going to be lost causes and some casualties already.

He even spares a slight smile.
(Jean-Pierre) And try not to be used too much against your will. If you really want to do something, however...

He has something to ask but he doesn't name it yet.

Neb looks thoughtful at Miriel's whisper. Then rises from his chair politely when the Ventrue approach the table, It is clear that he is not intending to leave, just showing respect for the newcomers. Neb sits back down after they arrive and begin talking and nods his head when his name is mentioned, though it looks like he might roll his eyes a bit for a second when he is referred to as a snake, but in a good humored way. He then waits to be addressed specifically.

William gives a nod towards the newcomers as Fred introduces them.
"Pleasure to meet you."

After some thought, Duncan finally heads for Jerome's table, and gives a slight bow as he approaches.

I beg your pardon if I am interrupting anything M'sieur. May I speak?

Armand and Eric both observe the kindred named by Fred, and Eric in particular seems amused at the "snake comment" and by Neb's reaction. He waves it off, saying silently through his body language a simple : "doesn't matter". The ST will ignore Fred presenting Theodore, because he left with Gosuin.
Both Ventrue nod when their names are given, and Eric adds.
(Eric) Like some others, I am not a permanent resident of this city. Armand and I have common interests and we've been working together for a while now. Officially, however, I reside in Toulouse.

Armand gives a more curious glance at Neb.
(Armand) It's interesting. I knew my sire was more found of the Followers than he is of the Giovanni, but granting an embrace right to an independent clan is a first.

Jerome nods with a slight smile at Duncan. He sounds between defeated and annoyed, but it's clear it's not towards the Brujah.
(Jerome) Surely, Mr Oliver. But if it's to speak about Felix, save your time, Mr Griffin already gave it to me. Is there something I can do for you ?

He spared a momentary glance towards his sire's table before he looked back towards the Harpy. "I'm afraid I have little choice but to worry about it. He looks as though he is regretful, and I can hardly blame him for that. I've done little but mess up since I arrived here."He admitted.

He listened and nodded, knowing it would still be difficult for him to accept such things. Yhe mention of something to do caught his attention quickly.

"Honestly, if it will allow me to leave this place and avoid upsetting anyone else, I'll gladly do it."

Duncan shakes his head at Jerome's assumption. He remains standing, rather than sitting down.
No, M'sieur. I met your childe earlier this evening, but that was not why I came over to you. I merely wanted to introduce myself to all the Kindred of this city. I had intended to do so the other night, but matters conspired against me. A certain altercation on the Plaza, among other things.
Duncan smiles slightly as he mentions the disagreement between Griffin and Franz Derjik.

My name is Duncan Oliver, of Clan Brujah. I have heard good things about you from Claudia, but have not yet had the pleasure of speaking with you.

Nyx gave the newcomers a dip of her imaginary cap from her perch on William's shoulder. The Nosferatu fell silent uncertain of what to say.
