| Skyrim's difficulty fine-tuning is horrible.
Killing an ancient elder dragon, an immortal beast child of the Dragon God himself? Three strikes and you win
Want to walk around in the world and sightsee? You just got mauled by an ice troll / sabertooth / bear

| Eh, Cliff Racers aren't tough. There are just so many of them every-fucking-where and youcan't walk 5 minutes without having one swoop down. As for Skyrim, that's simply poorly done level scaling at work. | |

Well, not even last night's storm could wake you. I heard them say we've reached Morrowind, I'm sure they'll let us go. Quiet, here comes the guard." I have heard that line FAR too many times.

| Me too. Especially when I decided to play the game ironman/hardcore/permadeath style. As pathetically easy as the high levels are, level 1 is brutal. | |

I remember sneaking everywhere not to be detected by rats or, Tribunal forbid, a wild guar. Past level 20 killing things got easier. Exploring Deadric ruins yihaa style was not a good idea, though.

That's 190 skill increases, a quarter of which should be from your primary weapon so that should already be in it's 80s or higher. The only way you could have problems is if you are a mage and you rely on spells to kill things (and you haven't modded the game to make spellcasting viable) or if you neglected your Endurance and have no Health. The expansions are a different matter, but even then I once made a Beerserker (the extra E is intentional) that arrived on Solstheim at level 5 and did okay. He was a Nord though so I guess that helped against the frost witches.

| I've installed Special Edition now, heavily modded obv. Game looks better and we can have bigger, badder battles with hundreds of npcs. Waiting patiently for the script extender though | |
