| Hey,
not neccessarily sureif it is needed, but would it make sense to include 8.8 in TFN 1.3? Would it kill it? Or are there minor nuances which are touched by your mods anyways.

| Well, Wesp makes changes constantly and those changes would have to be carefully looked at before implementing them into TFN for fear that it could break something. So first I would have to see his list of changes for UP 8.8 and every prior update that started after 6.5, then decide if it's worth trying to figure out what he did for that change and see if it would work in TFN.
In all honesty, it's not worth the time given the prize. Anything that needs fixing, we fix it ourselves, we don't rely on Wesp to fix it for us. Not to mention, TFN is so drastically different now compared to Bloodlines and even CE, that Wesp wouldn't have to slightest clue how or what to fix in TFN. From everything like the python scrips, new clans, disciplines, and how everything is laid out in the background, trying to make Bloodlines changes to TFN or vice versa wouldn't be a good idea.

| Wesp makes changes too frequently, and too inconsistent. Then he changes his mind and takes it out again. But there remains some useless stuff... And his tries in making the base patch more basic without having it completely separated from plus makes the whole affair even more unmergeable. I wouldn't recommend it. If I hadn't stopped CE anyways, I wouldn't follow his patches any further either. Maybe add the library map, but only if Zer0 has an idea for a better quest there or as a better location for Akeem. - | |

| You mean UP 9.0 right ? :7 I love Wesp, don't get me wrong but sometimes I feel like he gets too excited with anything he finds on the file and over does it. and then decides he'd change it A bit like me with my paper dues | |

| Of course Wesps work is great for the community, and really helps keeping the game alive and playable. My previous post was completely from the point of view of the modder trying to merge the latest version of the patch into their mod. - | |

| I agree with you guys. Wesp has done more for Bloodlines as a whole then any other modder stand alone. His consistency with keeping this game on the radar of players is uncanny. On the other hand, his "fixes" were done a long time ago and at this point, it's just modding. | |

| I think I am right in saying that Wesp's patch in what ever version is the foundation used for producing all the playable mods to date.
So what ever you think about the changes he makes in the basic and plus versions to disciplines etc, and you will never please everyone. And while he keeps working at it people will continue to play and mod it.
I rather like Malkav 's idea of using the library map as a better location for Akeem.

That's right. Thogh for my new project I have just restarted (again). And this time I will not install the patch before modding, but only merge it so I can add the bug fixes, restored models and textures, and the game changes I like, without having the bulk of distinctions between basic and plus in the map and python files. - Quote :

I agree to that. It's just that the more recent versions are harder to use for modders like Zer0 and me who make changes to the actual game mechanics, instead of just adding new content without changing rules like burger does with Clan Quest. - Quote :

| Maybe you have to fight Burgermeister and Wesp at the bottom of the library as an end boss. | |
