I have just upgraded from windows 7 to windows 10 on one of my computers. So I tried Bloodlines and it works perfectly with no problems at all. Even the SweetFX works fine.
So I am all set for the new verison of Clan Quest this week.

Good to hear. I was afraid it may not allow Bloodlines to run. Thank you for the good news, Hospodar.

Right I reinstalled bloodlines and all ok there. But when I ran the program I got the message. Access denied Please login with administrator privileges and try again. So it seems Bloodlines will not run on Windows 10. So in the mean time I will keep the pc with bloodlines on as windows 7. I’m sure someone will solve the problem eventually.

Did you rightclick on it and selected "Run it as Administrator" or something like that? 'Cause I get the similar error with other old games on Windows 7, but with that option I can run them.

Yes tried all that. Also tried running in compatibility mode and that does not work either.

I have solved the problem. It seems if you have bloodlines installed before you upgrade there should be no problem. The trouble happens if you install after the upgrade.

That is strange indeed... So no Win 10 users could reinstal VtMB? Microsoft need to be sued for damages.

So not only Windows 10 is Obama's wet dream in terms of information spying, but also Windows 10 can block your pirated software and "non authorized software"
Nooooo thank you good sir, you may stick that up your ass.

I will stay away from Win 10. Microsoft is offering me FREE upgrade from Win 7 which I enjoy very much. So thanks, but no thanks Microsoft, nice try.
Also this:

I've been contemplating a switch to Linux for a while now. I just need to do some research and find a distribution that runs all my Windows games software.

Stupid DRM Is Stupid And Win10 Thinks So Too
Shock of all shocks, old as balls DRM has turned out to be a stupid idea in hindsight, and Microsoft agrees. Is this maybe the reason that Bloodlines won't run on Win10? I don't know if one of the two DRM systems discussed in this article was used for the game, but if so, can somebody confirm whether the circumvention methods mentioned work? I would hate to upgrade to Win10 only to find a large amount of other games unplayable, too, so I'm not keen on doing it myself (especially seeing how I can't find my original Win7 copy to fall back onto if I do).

Besides Bloodlines, how's Windows 10 performing?

Other than the six levels of manufacturers spy-ware I had to dismantle and the 'personal assistant' who happens to be the unholy spawn of MS Bob and Clippy, I rather like it. Fortunately, the assistant is easily disabled, I'm keeping it for now to see if I can make it useful to me, but remain pessimistically skeptical. The base OS seems to use less processor resources, and does fewer things in the background. Same interface as XP and beyond, with minor visual changes. Does significantly better with varied and exchanged multiple screens than any mainline OS since Win95. (Yes, I frequently attach and remove other screens/projectors, depending on what I'm doing. Dual projectors for game night allow me to set up two maps at once, and interface back and forth/black out a screen. Best OS for this kind of 3-5 screen maneuver I have touched. The base OS can be set keyboard shortcuts to enable and disable monitors, or switch between stretched/duplicated screens. A huge gain IMO.)

Is there really that much spy-ware or is that an exaggeration?
Maybe you should write a manual for all of us

Knowing windows since the DOS ages, I'm inclined to believe it's probably not an exaggetartion but an understatement.

So you say he found and disabled the spyware he was supposed to find and disable, so the real spywere could run unnoticed?
