| Looks like the same list I found. Most of what I did was run a bit-tracer on myself and then track the data-trails back into the computer from my router, then delete the code generating the data. Not sure how to explain it to non-bit-heads: my coding is hideous, and only functional a third of the time.
Also, no guarantee I saw all of it or actually removed half of it, but I consider this an improvement. Broke my screensaver program doing it though, and cannot link my system clock to windows server anymore, so I killed more than necessary. Nothing considered a major loss.

| Pretty much. It's either the paranoia or the drive to defeat Microsoft in some tiny, insignificant battle that kept me going further. | |

Yes, I can confirm this. Use a nocd or crack and Bloodines works again on Windows 10! For that reason I even included one in my just released Unofficial Patch 9.4 : http://www.filedropper.com/vtmbup94

| wesp, thank you so much! I will still refrain from upgrading to Win10 for a variety of reasons, but this was definitely a dealbreaker for me. Glad to see it is fixable! Now let's just see where Microsoft takes this new OS, I'm not yet sold on it (seeing how Win7 has proven itself to be a decent OS for gaming so far). | |

| My attitude towards operating systems has always been: "If it ain't broken, don't fix it."
And I think I'll probably switch to Linux rather than get the latest Windows when the time for an upgrade finally comes.

| Odd, Bloodlines installed and fired up just fine for me on Windows 10. Hell, just as in 7, the splash logos don't display properly just as they always have. It feels like home. | |

Did you installed them on top of W10, or just carried the over? - Dragatus wrote:

No carry over. I had uninstalled Bloodlines a couple months ago, upgraded to 10 a couple weeks ago, then just reinstalled Bloodlines from Steam tonight, played for about half an hour to make sure everything was working okay. Me registry was even clean when I installed it.

| So... update. I installed TFN 1.3 (and hotfix), and now the game crashes on startup. | |

It appears using Windows 10 with Steam copies of Bloodlines no longer work with the vampire.dll file that comes with TFN 1.3. In another post I read of a person using the vampire.dll.12 file from the new Clan Quest Mod and renamed it vampire.dll and overwrite the one for TFN 1.3, and when he pressed "New Game", it worked and he was able to play TFN. I'll have to gather more information before I can make an official announcement and include an alternate .dll to TFN 1.4. Problem is I don't have a copy of Windows 10 to thoroughly test the problem. Someone will need to do this for me or we'll need to wait until I get a copy of 10.

| Someone reported a month ago on our ModDB page that after upgrading to Windows 10 and downloading a fresh copy from Steam, Bloodlines would crash when beginning a new game. He then re-downloaded the fresh Steam version, backed up the vampire.dll file, then installed TFN 1.3 and 1.3.1 over it, then overwrote the vampire.dll that came with Steam, and that fixed his issue.
Does anyone have a copy of the .dll files used from the Steam version? I don't have a Steam copy of Bloodlines, only the retail CDs version. If so, I can create a hotfix for Windows 10/Steam players. Also, Windows 10 retail CD players need a special .dll also? Can anyone verify this?

| I had managed to get CE Final working by using Malkav's suggestion of the Steam-specific dll that's packaged as an optional file for that mod, but I upgraded my video card the other day and now the game launches but it gives an endless stream of dll errors that require me to actually use task manager to end the process of the game itself. Very odd. I'll do a clean install again and send you the vanilla .dll that comes with it. | |

Thanks, I can rename it steam.vampire.dll and package it in with TFN 1.4 and create a "Steam" hot fix install.
