There are a lot of countries out there for them to choose from
They will be knowing more about Brazil in a jiffy, considering 2/3 to 3/4 of Brazilian youth wants to leave the country.
Yo feral-boy, thoughts?

American made me cringe, too. Countries like Paris... Yup, stupid Murican... Indian and Mexican had the distance to themselves to take it and have fun. The Indonesian has a small dick for sure. I loved the Scotsman explaining they are not Welsh to shag sheep. But they do
EDIT: I will get to you Philo, I need a clear head for this. 12 hours of laboratory work is too much...

OK, Philo...
This time they are generally right. Save a few things:
- Shock therapy was too acute in fact: a lot of relatively strong companies were bought by foreign investors only to shut them down. So no local competition for their exports from home countries was present. Most of our pharma industry was offed like that by Germans, biggest pump factory in Warsaw Pact, that happend to be in my hometown, was done in by the American investor, which became major supplier of pumps for Poland for years. TL:DR: Too much improvisation, too little actual planning during transformation. A lot was simply stolen in the chaos, too, including whole factories and housing complexes. All that was needen was a krysha of internal security and a friendly juge.
-However there was a strict adherence to growth and low inflation by most governments, there was an exception of 8 years tenure of PO-PSL coalition government. This one sold everything to buy votes (winning elections for a second time...), almost managed to turn Poland into Greece and German colony at the same time. Pur banking and media sectors are still de facto owned in majority by German corporations (Springer, Deutsche Bank, etc). People woke up and elected crazy but patriotic government: beter to have a few coockco ministers than to be German slaves again.
-We have one of the healthiest public finances in EuroEnron, yes. I am not sure it is such a great achivement, though.
-Despite the growth paychecks lag behind. It is improving, but slowely and not at universities.
-To call our ruling party nationalistic shows their lack of research. Conservative socialdemocrats a la Pilsudski at best. Yes, not enough conservatism for me, and it shows something.
-EU... Well, the simplest way to make a pole hate you is to thy to force said Pole to do something unwanted... Juncer and Timmermans basically would have won elections for PiS even if they were a bunch of acutely incompetent necrophilic pedophiles.
-The way they pronaunce Polish names... Muah ears...

I wish our politicians had the backbone to say no to the EU. Unfortunately a millennium of being ruled by Germans and a century of being ruled by Serbs has created a leadership class who only knows how to be a vassal.

You are not alone, a party like that ruled us for 8 years, it's leader is now a chairman of Eurpean Council...

We don't just have a party like that. We have an entire political class like that. The only parties in parliament that might not follow the pattern are the "nationalist" party (they're faking it to get guaranteed votes to make them big enough that they get easy money in the form of government support) and the far lefties (and we all know how well that would work out for the economy).

The introduction of two latin-looking spanish speakers in majorly white, liberal neighborhoods for a few minutes over two weeks were enough to cause considerable changes in the opinion on legal and illegal immigration for those that lived there.
So there's a chunk of truth in the idea that the champagne socialists are only this because they never feel the impact of the policies they push forward.
BTW, Draggy, Slovenia has been under communism, hasn't it? Are there still socialists / communists parties there? How do the people who lived under communism react to these parties?

Yugoslavia was socialist, but never went hardcore communist like the USSR. Private property was limited instead of being banned outright and instead of central state planning we had more worker self-management and decentralization (though still overseen by the state). The government also was authoritarian, but less so than in a typical communist state. It was common for people to shop in Italy or to go work in West Germany for a time and it was not unheard of for a cinema to show an American movie.
We have one party called simply Levica ('the left'). They got into parliament in the previous elections when they were still called 'United Left' (3 smaller left parties merged together) and increased their number of seats from 5 to 9 in the elections we had a month and a half ago (out of 90 seats total, so they have 10%). Their base are largely young votes who never experienced socialism.
I like how they're one of only 2 or 3 parliamentary parties that don't want to bow to Brussels and their stance on civil rights. I also like the goals of their economic policies, but I have misgivings about what the actual effects of their economic policies would be. I want them to have a strong presence in parliament, but I don't want them to ever actually govern. I voted for the Pirate Party instead.
Quite a few people actually have fond memories of Yugoslavia as the good old days when workers still had dignity instead of being exploited by evil corporations and greedy "tycoons", though there is a general awareness that the economic system itself was not actually functional.
The Slovene national character is very egalitarian, which expresses itself both as compassion for the unfortunate and jealousy of anyone who has just a little more than most. There's a joke about how a fairy promises a wish to a farmer, but says that whatever he wishes for, his neighbor will get double. "In that case I want one of my cows to die."

I feel for you...
Though I prefer old comerades to ultra progressive twats pushing for legalization of pedophilia, as those in Netherlands... Because it is an "orientation". Such people make me reach for my ancestral sabre... Which says something, as for a gay Jew.
We have pious socialist here (PiS) ang godless socialists (PO). Both are etatistic interventionists, so nothing good for the economy, but the God fearing ones at least are far less prone to steal much and/or let others do so for a cut of the profits. They try to reverse the demographical collapse and not let uneducated Muslims in. As for Yemeni, Syrian, Egyptian and all the peoples Arab republicks, they are already here, but doctors, scientists and engeeneers are a benefit to us, not a problem...
It seems Slovene people are very much like Poles...

Very relatable.
I dislike consumables in RPGs I'm never sure when to use them. So what I eventually started doing was to sell them all and use the money for better gear, which will always be useful.
