| Pondering another playthrough. Im going to list some of the things I've done. I won't be listing social or intellectual feats, as this is just an outline of how the character handles itself in combat. The idea is to list what I've done, and get some input on what I should try next! I am currently running Cami Edition and Clan Quest.
I've played as Malkavian at least..five times lol. At least. Im not certain. Mostly as the female because her model and clothes are are absolutely bad ass. -Male I usually set up with Dementia, a little auspex, and firearms. -Female is usually Obsuficate with melee and lots of social skills to get more awsome malk dialogue
I've run through with Tremere twice. Both times as the male. -Once with Thaumaturgy and melee. -The second time, simular, but with Dominance at 3.
Nosferatu once. -Obsuficate, potence 3, and melee.
So it seems most of my characters are caster-types (Dementia/Thaum) or Sneaky types, and one shoot-em up character. That pretty much covers it. I haven't played as Brujah, Gangrel, Ventrue, or Toreador. Brujah and Gangrel just seem a tad to straight foward. I don't know. Suggestions?

| No matter what clan I play (even Tremere), I go for the Melee skills. Tried Firearms at first, but they don't work as well. There's a Kindred saying, "Guns mean nothing to a lifeless heart." Very true. The supershotgun (SPAS-15) is nice on semi-auto, but the regular shotgun is good enough, and only requires a Firearms feat of 3. I never use it, anyway. Besides, it hardly takes any skill at all to use the flamethrower (hehe). Just point it and flame on! Burn, Sheriff, burn! Mwa-hahahahaha. Only played the Gangrel all the way through once, and didn't like it. For one thing, I refused to raise my Protean above 4, because I think that werebatboy warform is so stupid looking. I don't care how badass I am, I hatehatehate that stupid warform. Another thing I dislike about Gangrel is that the timing on combat moves is different when using Protean. That stupid 'whirl-and-slash-with-your-claws' move looks silly, and is hard to get the timing down, especially with multiple opponents. It's a good thing Gangrel have Fortitude, because I got hit more often fighting with those claws than I ever do fighting with a sword. By the time I finished the game, I was tired of getting hit so often. Even playing a Ventrue, I usually end up with a Melee feat of 10 before Ming Xiao and LaCroix. Add in a Fortitude of 5, and high Presence to lower your enemies' stats (with the occasional 'Still The Mortal Flesh' thrown in), and he's a killing machine. | |

| The only thing that gets my beef with making a melee character is the constant clicking of the mouse. Over the years, I had to change my mice monthly because of the physical trauma they get. Which is one reason I settle with guns.
Vanilla game I finished with a Malk with guns. While on CE, I'm playing a Tremere gunslinger / mage. Basic combo would be to use Blood Purge and unleash the hurt.
For bosses I usually turn on Auspex, I'm currently on the way to maxing it our on my Tremere. The Wits and Perception bonus is great for defense and ranged damage. Of course, at the early stages of the game, I had some pretty serious difficulties. I lost a humanity or two and a masquerade violation since I had to rely on Bloodstrike early on.
Also, I can't avoid to be wasteful with ammunition. So, I usually duck look for cover and make sure my enemies are on target before I fire. I try to find some choke points too, so I can fight without any worries.

| Nice PGM! Ya know since you've mostly played ranged characters (Casters n Firearms), you could always try a Brujah getting your Potence to 5 and Blood Buff to 5. Man you'd be a real wrecking machine with Melee. Maybe even throw in some Celerity for good measure. | |

The clans I've played the most were Ventrue and Malkavian. In both cases, firearms are only a last resort, for when the spotlights are out and the Sheriff won't come down and play with you. The flamethrower doesn't count, because it's fun to see the Sheriff jerking around in the flames. Boy, that gets him up off the roof in a hurry, doesn't it? Been a Brujah... in fact, that was the first character I ever played. The male Brujah skin looks like a Latino/Black cross to me, so I named him 'Esteven'. (I know... who cares.)

| That sounds brutal. I will try it I think.
Estevon lololol. I've done worse!
Malkz: Miss Malice, Syndri, Mince, Covette, Alistair Blythe
Nos: Macavity
Tremere: Crucian Vance both times.
I think that could make an interesting thread, what people have named their chars.
