| When I went to the diner after trashing the art, and there is that fight, I used a bunch of abilities after I got shot a bit (celerity, fortitude, presence, blood buff, blood heal).
I then received a masquerade violation. I glanced at the area icon, and it was definitely a gun.

| Well, the cook is there, so If you used celerity too close to the bar that might have caused the violation. Is your celerity over level 1? | |

| Shouldn't matter if the cook is there or not:
Combat Area: anything goes, use discipines freely.
Personally, I don't like Wesp's mod changing it so you can lose humanity in a combat area. There are no innocents in war zones.
Edit: The glaze is another place where wierd stuff like this happens. I was losing humanity everytime I killed someone who was shooting at me. "Self-preservation is a vital part of humanity".

| There are no innocents in war zones. No innocents in war zones? So all the dead in Hiroshima and Nagasaki were combatants? - | |

| Combat zone has changed since TFN. It gets combat only when they attack you (I usually run away ), but you lose humanity if innocents get killed in combat zone. Even if you didn't fire the shot, it excites the beast and you "don't care" | |

- Maybe not combatant, but not innocent - when a nation is at war, so are all of its citizens. And since you brought up specific events - they prevented far more civilian casualties that would have occurred had the planned land invasion of Japan happened, and maybe more importantly, they showed the world what nuclear weapons actually do. Imagine the ensuing arms race, Cuban missile crisis, and Cold War without that knowledge.

| Actually the Cold War arms race (atleast with nuclear weaponry) and Cuban missile crisis probably wouldn't have happened. Militaries generally stick with conventional weaponry until something better is proven. Why stock up on millions of dollars worth of iffy weaponry that might help win a war when they can spend the money on tried and true methods like bullets? If it weren't for Hiroshima and Nagasaki most nations would probably consider it a very expensive gamble. | |

| I won't comment about WWII or the cold war but I will comment on the "bug".
I will revisit both the diner and Glaze and see what I can do, but I can tell you if there are any innocents in either of those places then I'm keeping the same rules in place as far as the Masquerade Violation and Humanity Loss. It doesn't make sense for it to be ok to use supernatural powers around innocent people just because gang members are shooting at you, nor does it make sense that it's ok to kill innocents just because a fight is going on. Either way you're still breaking the Masquerade even if to defend yourself an innocents and innocent, regardless of what is happening in the environment at the time.
