William strolled out at a casual pace, following Nyx.
"So, what's the situation?"

Nyx shrugged slightly.

Someone's going to be here soon to pick them up, Pierre's going to digitize them. That will take about two hours. Once their done I'll have a text and will forward them on.

Ah, do you require or otherwise desire our assistance in this task?

William frowns, "2 hours... not enough to really start anything, unless..." his face lightened up, then frowned once more, "Nah... if it gets delayed I can't finish it properly... although.. If Corinna... nah, that wouldn't be within the next 2 hours, that would be like superspeed getting things done."

Stroking his chin, he looked at the rest.
"I guess for now, we probably just could go back inside and... have a few drink or... socialise, if you're really into that..." the neonate stated with a look of half disgust half boredom as if he didn't like the prospect of dealing with the high kindred Society and would rather spend his nights locked up in his room doing Tremere-ish stuff.

Duncan follows the group outside to the plaza.  As Nyx describes how the tapes are going to be changed to digital media, he nods his head briefly and smiles.

Good.  That way we can all examine them.  I'm sure there's a time stamp on the tapes, so if we see something we'll know when it happened.

To William, Duncan says:
Yes, two hours is a long time to wait, but a short time to get anything done.  I don't see any point to socializing for its own sake... I'm no Toreador.  Besides, with the Prince in a bad mood from whatever Laure and Marc told him, I'm more than happy to stay out of Elysium for a while.  A drink or two might be a good idea, but don't make it seem like you're there for the free blood... the harpies would tear you a new one for that little faux pas.

By the way... I'm going to be busy for a while, first thing tomorrow evening.  I spoke to Franz Derijk, and he's letting me into the student databases at Bordeaux 3.  So I'm taking a little trip fo Pessac for a couple of hours.    However, Theo seems to think that it would be a good thing if Jean-Pierre Griffin doesn't find out I'm nosing around down there, even though I got permission from Franz.  So I'd appreciate it if you could say I was with you guys for that time, for an alibi.  I'll share whatever I find out about any common links among the missing students.

The last comment was obviously directed at Nyx, since William and Fred aren't really that involved in the investigation of the missing students.

As for tonight... I'm not sure what we can do to stay busy.  I suppose the most constructive use of our time until we can view the security cam footage is to make sure we're well fed, so we don't waste time feeding tomorrow.  However, I don't know about you guys, but I prefer hunting alone.  So we might just want to split up after the tapes are picked up, and meet in a couple of hours.hours.

When William speaks, Duncan is looking towards Elysium, watching someone enter.  Yet after both William's and Fred's warning, the Brujah quickly scans the area, including the direction William was facing just before he gave the alarm, although he sees nothing.  A glance at Scoop's van reveals nothing dangerous either.  Duncan responds to the group in the same hushed voice.

I know to you, the hotel means safety; but to us it's a dead end with one exit, since we can't enter your chantry.  I vote Elysium.  There's help if it's needed, and resources already in place to keep the Masquerade safe, if shit hits the fan.

While Duncan was explaining his reasoning to pick the theater instead of the hotel, William once more glanced at the direction he was looking at and mouthed something that resembled thanks, before looking once more at Duncan while he was speaking.
"My angle of direction was not the Chantry, but the empty Elysium in front of it which also falls under protection of the Tremere since my... ehh, warning doesn't mention what, or whom, the danger is. But as you wish, to the theater."

Nyx smiled at Fred but gave a polite shake of her head.

No, someone should be here in a moment.

She stayed quiet until Duncan directed his comment to her.

Yes, yes, I will keep my trap shut. Any information would be helpful at this point.

The honk attracts Nyx's attention but William's words caught her off guard. The Nosferatu didn't say anything but did as she was instructed and walked over to Scoop. When she got closer she greeted him but was looking around as well uncertainly.

Scoop:

Perhaps we can hide in my haven? It's safe and lonely, I do believe it's a good alternative.

Duncan waits, his eyes scanning the few people in sight, as Nyx gives the tapes to Scoop.  As the van drives off, he waits for Nyx to rejoin them and then speaks in a low tone.

Let's get out of the open, shall we?  The Theatre will do for a start.  Then we can discuss it.

The Brujah neonate starts tentatively for the Theatre, waiting to see if anyone follows... or starts running in their direction.

William followed the gang once more, albeit missing a member, and the other direction this time around.
"This night is wicked and awful at the same time: wolves, Griffin, bad omens.. and if it happens one more time, people will always be expecting bad news whenever I walk through those doors."
The Tremere said with a sigh as he studied the plaza.
