Nyx gave Duncan a quick glance when she felt his eyes on her. 

I figured that would have been obvious, we're breaking into the place not ram-raiding a shop. 

She kept her voice down to a low mutter and said nothing more allowing the conversation to continue. When the Nosferatu heard the door open and close she tensed slightly and sat straighter waiting until she heard the woman exit out of the main door. 

...Looks like killing the Kine is not even a remote possibility now if he's under her influence...

Well, I suppose we can try the Security room now.  Same plan as before?  You knock and catch the guard's attention, and I reach in when the door opens and grab him?  I don't think there is likely to be more than one, but if there is I can rush in and knock the first guy down, and grab the second while you guys immobilize the one near the door.

What do you think?  Whatever we do, let's do it soon.

William looks at the rest.
"If you wish to knock the guard out and erase our existence from the digital world, we either do it now or not at all, We've been here for a while already and I don't trust Malkavians who own sports cars to take it easy on the way back. If worst comes to pass I'll hit them with my ca- oh..."
The Tremere was looking at his hard which showed a profound lack of having a cane clutched into it's fist.
"... hit you with words of encouragement."

Okay let's do it.  Duncan stands and walks to the door leading to the hall.

I think Nyx should be the one to knock.  A woman's voice might put him off his guard.  I'll be next the door, out of sight.  When he opens, I'll rush in and William and Fred can follow me in case they're needed.  I'll be trying to immobilize him if possible, not kill him... if he's Lambert's ghoul, killing him would piss Lambert off.

Don't use names after we go in.  It's going to be bad enough without telling the guy who we are.

The Brujah puts a hand on the door handle.  Ready?

Nyx followed the group in silence, when Duncan gave the signal she nodded and stepped close enough to knock on the door. 

Excuse me, please, I've lost my card and I was wondering if someone handed it in here? 

She spoke with a slightly raised voice, though not shouting. Her voice had changed but still she spoke French well, from her appearance she would have been thought to be a second or third generation immigrant.

Duncan mutters under his breath:  Enough of this crap.

Perception>2, Auspex=2:

When there is no answer, Duncan steps in front of the door, motioning for Nyx to step aside slightly.  The Brujah gives one last look around for witnesses coming in, then he positions himself in a manner that says he is about to break the door open, although he appears to concentrate for a moment before taking action.

Storyteller:

"I can't hear anything on the other side, maybe the Giovanni killed the kine? Maybe we should..." But before the Tremere could end the sentence, Duncan stepped in front of the door.

William mutters 'Brujah's' under his breath as Duncan was about to kick in the door and rolled his eyes.

Nyx stepped aside but placed a hand on his shoulder when she realised what he was about to do.


I can still pick that...

She gestured with her head towards the lock. 


Her tone of voice suggested but it was obvious she didn't like what Duncan was about to do.

Duncan's only reply to Nyx before he breaks open the door is a brief muttered phrase:
Tempus fugit.

Linguistics:Latin, Linguistics>1:

The main force of his blow is directed at the door right beside the keypad, which will most likely cause the strike plate (where the latch or deadbolt fits into the frame) to break off.  While there may be a dent in the door, it probably won't draw too much attention from the outside once the door is pulled closed (although it won't stay closed without help).

Once the door is open, Duncan rushes into the room.  If there is anyone standing or sitting further in the room, he will run toward them, leaving anyone closer for the others to deal with.

Storyteller:

William enters the room and lets out a soft curse in Dutch, obviously not aimed at the bloody mess but at the equipment as he walks up to the computer, monitors and the recording equipment.
"The recent tapes are gone, which means there is evidence which we cannot erase of our presence out there, in the hands of a clan I'd like to avoid."

He looks at the man in the chair besides him, and gave an 'ohh you, right' look and continued,"I'm not a doctor, but he'll bleed out pretty soon, if he hasn't already, the previous guest could have had a little snack first, I doubt it though, the puncture marks distance would betray her if they ever measured the space between them and would serve as partial evidence."

Pushing the kine to the side so the chair rolled away from the desk so the Tremere had better access to the keyboard with a, "Sorry mate." William checked for input history to try and determine what the last commands were.

He gave a glance at Nyx and Duncan, "If you'd be so kind to take the tapes around the time that thing that happened took place, all up to today, the time for subtlety is kind of over. Maybe a day earlier too, just in case."

And in case Fred hasn't already panicked and is screaming blood, murder and WINTER IS COMING around the place, William point with his index finger in the general direction of their mode of transportation, "Get our rides ready, our allotted time here just got shorter, the guard could have possibly triggered a silent alarm, I doubt it, but it's better to be prepared."

Fred, perhaps to most people's surprise, has not panicked and run out screaming like a maniac.
He followed Duncan and William shortly after they ran in and looked around the place for any signs of the murderer (or otherwise potential danger), when William gives the order Fred nods rapidly and runs out.

Yes! With great haste!

Storyteller:

Duncan stops his rush into the room when he sees the human, tied up and bleeding to death. The blood obviously affects him; he stands there for a moment, staring at the man, while William enters behind him and walks to the computer station.  

Perception+Empathy>3:

The Brujah doesn't seem to be paying much attention to William's words, until the Tremere talks about possible puncture marks.  This causes Duncan to frown in puzzlement, and look at William oddly.  This only fades slightly when the Tremere neonate scoots the human over, with a brief apology.

What are you talking about?  Any bite marks would simply disappear with a lick of the wound, unless the Kindred in question were a moron... or newly Embraced.

Duncan finally walks over to the man, and gently checks the pulse in his neck.  The Brujah shakes his head at the results, and places his hand on the man's head.  As William gives instructions, Duncan merely nods without looking in his direction.  He barely acknowledges Fred's departure.

Yeah, we've got it.  Here, take your computer stuff back.  I think this setup is a bit lower tech than we both expected.  Duncan hands William the items he'd given him earlier, including the USB flash memory.  I'm going to make his passing a little easier.  If this shit bothers you, I suggest you turn away.

With that, the Brujah neonate kneels down beside the chair, and bares the human's arm.  Careful not to step in or disturb the blood, Duncan reaches up to cover the man's eyes, and bends down to bite the man's arm.  There is a slight reaction as his teeth break the skin, although this could be a last nervous reaction from the man's body.  This doesn't take long; the man obviously didn't have much blood left in his body.  When he is done, the neonate licks the bite wound to eliminate all evidence of his feeding.
