William took a moment to register Duncan had commented on the puncture wounds statement, with his focus almost entirely on the screens as he was trying to determine how exposed they could have been. "Marks heal, traces accessible through other means."

As Duncan gave his items back, he placed the pouch back into his pocket. Taking care not to disturb anything, blood or otherwise as he looked for the tapes.
"However, bite good idea, acts anesthetic, subsequent increase of bloodloss will reduce suffering when brain loses fuel, interesting idea, will take note."

Duncan finishes fairly quickly; there was not much blood left in the man's body.  He doesn't get every last drop though-- that would require effort, and he doesn't want to disturb the body any more than necessary.  After he stands, Duncan carefully backs away so that he doesn't pick up any blood on his shoes.

Storyteller:

However, a quick glance around the room reveals how disorganized the surveillance tapes really are.  The Brujah looks around for Nyx, and goes to the door and taps lightly before opening it a crack.  He whispers a question to the Nosferatu.

Hey, what was the date for Momo's last phone call?  The surveillance tapes are not really in order.

Nyx pulled up the calender on her phone to double check the date was the 17th two weeks ago. 

Two weeks ago, so the seventeenth.

She kept her voice to a whisper when she replied to Duncan. 

Thanks.

After his whispered thank you, Duncan closes the door and looks around for tapes dated the 17th.  He avoids stepping in or touching bloody spots, moving as quickly as possible under the circumstances.  As he searches, he'll direct a comment to William.

By the way, Nyx says Momo disappeared on the 17th.  Seeing how disorganized this place is, I'm just looking for tapes with that date, otherwise we'll be here all night.  Be careful not to make a mess while you're looking.

As the two Kindred find the last tape, Duncan  mutters an expletive under his breath and shares a glance with William.

(Holy shit!)  That took too long.  Let's get out of here.

William frowns as he looks at the tapes in their hands.
"This might or might not be an issue, but these require specialised equipment to watch. But this is a matter for a different time."

He promptly turned on his heels and made his way outside, giving a soft knock on the door to ley Nyx know he's getting out.
"Let us move, we need to place as much distance between us and this place as possible."

Leaving... Sounds like a great idea.

The tape Duncan found goes inside his work shirt; the others are in William's custody, since the Tremere seemed to find them more quickly.  After a quick look at the camera feed for anything out of the ordinary, Duncan follows William out of the room, still careful not to step in blood.  As they leave, he puts a folded slip of paper between the frame and the door, to hold it closed since the latch is bent.  It won't fool anyone at close range, but at least the open door won't draw the attention of those passing by.

As the Kindred head toward the exit, Duncan speaks to Nyx.
Sorry we didn't have time for a more thorough search.  But frankly, I doubt your guy is in the building.

Nothing more is said until they are outside.  Even though they know the cameras are not recording, Duncan still pulls the cap down over his face out of habit, as they exit the front doors.

Nyx listened in silence, she could hear the arguments but she didn't tense like she used to. When William knocks on the door she takes a glance around before opening the door for them, making sure the hall was still abandoned. 


She followed in silence until Duncan spoke to her, she nodded slightly unsure of what to say. 

He was poking around the Provost...it was bound to end badly. 


She let out a sigh but said nothing else, also pulling her veil forward and looking away from the camera out of habit. 

William, whom has worn his hoodie the entire time to cover his face in shadows along with the darker skintone, didn't need to make any extra attempts to hid is face. He crossed the street and walked up to where Fred was guarding their ride and waved to the man.


"Let's go, we'll meet near the hotel I guess. Let's take detours, just in case, and don't do anything to pull attention. Which includes a heavy foot."
He gave a look at Duncan and his bike.

Fred returns the wave with a tiny smile.
Ah, very well. I shall do my best to make my movement untraceable and meet you all at the theatre.

Having said this, Fred gets on his bike and sets off towards a random location (The Fabrik) and tries to zic zag his way across town for about 15-20 minutes before taking the closest path to the theatre.

The only places he avoids are El Bodegon and the ruins of Nolveaux's workshop for obvious reasons.

Duncan follows the group back to their vehicles, and nods appreciatively at Fred when he sees the motorcycle is turned around and ready to start up.  Thank you, Fred.

The Brujah puts the VHS tape in the sack with his other clothes, and puts on the helmet.  He listens to William's suggestions, but snorts in amusement at the Tremere's warning about a 'heavy foot'.

When have you seen me drive fast, on this thing?  Even when we pulled out of the thrift market in a hurry, I kept pace with you guys.  I even wear my helmet, to keep the cops off my back... something you might want to do, by the way.

I'm assuming Nyx's people will know where we can find equipment to play these tapes.  We can talk about this outside Hogwart's  After that, we probably need to change and shower before we go anywhere else, and ditch the clothes.  I certainly don't want to meet the Sheriff like this.  Well, okay, I don't want to meet him at all... not until we can point a finger at someone else for killing his security guy.

"Somehow Lyle doesn't quite fit Dumbledore." William said as he studied the van.

Duncan grins, and seems like he is about to respond to William's comment about Lyle; when he becomes distracted and suddenly reaches into a pocket.  He pulls out his phone, peers at it for a moment as if reading a text, and then he looks up at the Tremere.  His smile is gone.

Lambert's left El Bodegon.  We need to leave now.

The Brujah glances over at where Nyx is speaking to the van driver, and he makes a low whistle; just loud enough to get their attention.  He then holds up his phone and points to it, and makes a gesture with his thumb, as though saying something about leaving.
