Miriel answers quickly before Mikael shows up, about the Sheriff ;
(Miriel) He looked annoyed but he didn't slap him. Fred left on his own, or with some.. sneaky help.

(Jean-Pierre) Miss Vonigner's behavior and words aren't an example to follow. She's a child. You're just a fledgling, it's expected from you to fail, especially considering Mr Lehin's situation. You have nothing to lose as for for now. However it will show badly on Mr Lehin's reputation..

He glances at Jerome who is in a conversation with the Sheriff and Laure.
(Jean-Pierre) He has status because his Sire cares deeply for him, but also because he has been around long enough and has been "part of the court". He did nothing to achieve anything, which is why he has nothing. He had gotten himself Miss Vicomte and they enjoyed each other, not caring for the city nor anything else. If you wish to go down that path, feel free to do so. He was lucky to find other neonates for him to ride with, which is why he survived. If you feel you need to make amends, mr Oliver and mr Wolvenheart are the ones you must see. They stepped in for you.

He indicates Duncan who is busy with Mikael, and William who is at their former table.
(Jean-Pierre) It's simple, but not easy. Do not get distracted and do not let your guard down. Gather with other neonates, work with them, work on your strength.

He takes out his small notepad and turns a few pages to find a blank one. He writes a number on it and hands it over.
(Jean-Pierre) My other phone number. Tomorrow I expect you to come to the Mots Bleus. I will try to fill the blanks.

Duncan hides it well, but he's surprised at the tone of Mikael's speech.

Forgive me if you already know about some of this.  I'll summarize, and if you have any specific questions, tell me.

I haven't looked into those stolen 'clocks of life'.  You said you would handle that, so I focused on other matters.  All I could do would be to check city records, and find out who the stolen skulls belonged to-- when they were alive, I mean.  You probably have other resources.

About the human disappearances-- I went to one of the colleges tonight, and gathered data on the missing and drowned students.  I haven't gone through that yet, but I hope to find some link that a mortal investigator would miss.  It would be nice if we could blame those deaths on the Sabbat cells that carried out the attacks; but I have my doubts, unless they've been here for years.

The missing foreign women are a separate matter; although like the students, they are getting too much attention in the media.  Two nights ago, we saw an elder taking a woman who matched their profile; I hope it's merely a coincidence.  It touches on the next matter.

Our prime focus is on William's mission, which I'm sure you know.  Since it involves Theodore Jacob's domain, I'm helping with that.  But we can't do any exploring underground, until we do a little job for the Nosferatu.  They want us to find a missing clanmate of theirs, named Momo.  The last information we have is that he was near that elder's haven, checking on a possible connection to the missing foreign women.  You can get his name from William, if you haven't already; I'd rather not name him here, even in a whisper.  We recovered a digital camera chip, and a disposable camera that belonged to Momo.  William decoded the first one; and Nyx, a young Nosferatu, is having the film from the camera developed.  Hopefully something in those pictures will lead us to Momo.

Considering the importance of William's search, Theodore is trying to talk Doctor into letting us do that before finding the missing Nosferatu.  I'm not sure he'll succeed, though.

"Jerome asked me to find Annabelle, after the bit- er, Embrace. Once he finds what has become of her, I doubt I will have the luxury of just doing as I please. It seems that it simply isn't the way things are done given the circumstances."

"I suppose it's only polite that I apologize for putting them in such a position. I suppose I wasn't thinking entirely clearly at that moment. Small bits of metal like that can be so useful, and after getting that clock earlier tonight all I could think of was work."

"Thank you, I'll be there tomorrow. Is there anything in particular that you would like for me to bring along?"He asked, mostly to be polite, but also out of curiosity.

His pale aura becomes dark green with excitement, something has definitely gotten him excited.

"Forgive me, if I am asking too much, but do you know anything regarding the "clocks of life?" Is it something I could perhaps look into, even with my humble skills?" Judging from his tone and the glint in his eyes, he probably thinks actual clocks are involved.

(Jean-Pierre) A Toreador and his passions... Keep them quiet and obtain your items in some other way. There's no need for you to bring anything. Concerning the Clocks of Life, I read about them on the news. Probably someone stole them to sell them. We do have one Giovanni in town, they're known as necromancers, but she denied it was her doing. I believe her.

It's clear the Tremere doesn't understand why Felix wanted those metal pieces so badly. He's not curious about it. However "a clock he got earlier" does interest him and he asks.
(Jean-Pierre) Which clock are you talking about ?

I don't recall if William told Mikael. If William confirms he did mention it or if I can read it in the chantry topics, Duncan is speaking about the Sheriff, Lambert.

"Claudia's watch is off. I'm giving it a thorough cleaning and depending upon how things look afterwards may do some minor repairs."He explained to Griffin."The watch itself has obviously been through quite a lot of use, so it is in desperate need of care."

He looks to Griffin, as if momentarily surprised that the other was interested at all. "It's not as old as any of your pieces, but it is fairly nice." His hand moves to his pocket. "I can show it to you, if you'd like to take a look."

Anson knows they explored the sheriff's place, she probably kept Mikael in the loop.

Corinna told William in her big 'you-suck-at-being-a-Tremere'-yell to tell everything he knows to Mikael. I think this info would fall under that category, so it's reasonable to assume he knows, even though Corinna may already have told him anyway. Just saying.

"You're lucky he didn't enter frenzy. It seemed like a close enough call even before you decided to push his buttons further. I really hope you know what you're doing with him, because I surely have no idea how to handle him. I suppose that's mutual."

Corinna's aura has turned back to a lighter shade of blue, and after a moment of watching her surroundings, the pale colours start moving again in jigsaw patterns.

The chantry is fine, M. Oliver. Situations like this are far from uncommon. The problem is me. I was parachuted into Bordeaux after decades of absence, believing to have come for just a quick checkup on my brethren. Instead, I am burdened with a triad of responsabilites with less than a week to adapt.

I'm afraid I know as much about the clocks of life as I did when we met. God willing, I might be able to start my research on this topic tonight, after all my Clan related obligations for the day are finished. But worry not. I still take full responsability for this area and will have it complete with haste.

I'd like to have a quick look at your investigation of the human disappearances whenever you believe you have enough material to work with - no ofense, but if the disappearances are indeed related to either the occult or Kindred, I might have an easier time finding the needle in the hay. If nothing, another point of view wouldn't hurt, yes?

I'll have a talk with William regarding the missing women and the Nosferatu. My talents might certainly prove useful on this regard aswell, although those of my younger brethren might be sufficient. Do tell the Nosferatu that any object of hers they can provide us with will be of help, especially those emotionally important to her.

I do have some other questions, yes.

Duncan looks a bit confused when Mikael mentions that an object of "hers" would help find the missing Nosferatu.
Do you mean Momo?  Momo is male.  It is an odd name, though.  We might be able to find something of his.  I guess that could lead you to him, huh?  I didn't think of that.  Of course, I'm not Tremere.

So, would a personal item work better than tools?  Because we have some tools that he used.  I doubt he was emotionally attached to them, though.  Otherwise, when she gets here, I'll ask Nyx if the Nossies can find something of Momo's.

Next move is the same... Find the missing Nosferatu, so his clan will escort us underground and let us search.  The film in that camera might be developed later this evening; but we don't know if that will tell us where he is.  If you or William can find him sooner, that would be great.

Momo is a common nickname for people named Mohammed (and derivatives).

Depends. Personal items work better, but itens he used a lot will also leave residue. It isn't exactly arithmethics. In the end it might not even be necessary, but I rather not do things half-hearted.

Mikael shifts his body languague as if he is about to leave. Perphaps as a second thought, he asks Duncan a less serious question

I noticed your lovely friend has not arrived yet. Will she be joining us tonight?

He is obviously talking about the Nosferatu present on the night they met, Carrion/Charogne.

I believe the missing guy used these items a lot.  I'll talk to William about it.

When Mikael refers to Carrion, Duncan nods, and explains.
Ah, yes... you may not have heard.  The Nosferatu who introduced herself as 'Carrion' a few days ago was actually a neonate named Nyx.  She was masquerading as another Nossie until she was presented to the Prince.  Now she goes by her own name.  I knew something was up, because I'd heard Carrion was male.  So you've met Nyx already.

Yes, Nyx-slash-Carrion should be here later.  She texted me a few minutes ago, and said she was on her way.

Duncan wears a slight smile as he adds:  You're welcome, sir.  I may have misjudged you the other night.  Perhaps you're not quite the arrogant, condescending elder I took you for at our first meeting.  A brief pause, and the smile grows bigger.  Perhaps.

The Harpy looks annoyed an instant. He insists.
(Jean-Pierre) Miss Vonigner's watch. Yes, why not, he answers to the offer of having a look. Not that he can do a lot about it. It's in your best interest to stick to last names when you are speaking to others about another kindred. The level of proximity is something you should keep silent. Even if Miss Vonigner insist everyone calls her by first name.

When he sees the watch, he takes it slowly, observes it from apart, not bringing it close to his eyes. Maybe it's a habit, or maybe he can't see well up close. He then gives it back.
(Jean-Pierre) It's not very precise anymore.

That's probably the best guess he can say about the watch, unlike Felix he's not an expert.

(Claudia) I didn't fully plan it, but it "felt" fine. It's just what I had to do, what I was instructed... It's going to be fine, I know people, he's not so hard to read. The Regent lied to him and he took it badly.

"Forgive me, she told me to call her that."He looks to Griffin, his expression showing that he was becoming a little frustrated, but oddly enough not towards Griffin. He brought out the watch to Griffin, rather intrigued by the other looking over it, wondering what he was looking for, if anything." I've heard from others that Ms. Voginer could find people with objects. I had hoped to barter the cleaning for her doing such a thing, but she couldn't find anything. From her description, the watch likely could just use a good cleaning."

He looked away, returning the watch to his pocket. He glanced to Griffin, but seemed hesitant to meet his eyes at the moment. "Forgive me, I must be distracting you from your work, and that wasn't my intention. To you, I'm certain that I'm little more than an annoyance."

The Tremere shakes his head slightly, denying.
(Jean-Pierre) You can call her "Claudia", and address her as such, as she requests. But when you mention her to others, especially other Kindred, it's the last name you should use. If you are, say, in the same university as your father, and you're talking about him, you would not say "the essay Dad gave us on american literature is hard.." but "the essay Mr Sommier gave us". It is the same here, do you understand?

His effort into using a modern analogy is hardly visible. He indicates the watch's location.
(Jean-Pierre) It does need polishing and the leather needs to be taken care of, that's true. I told you, she's a child. It does surprise me she still has it and most of all, uses it.

It's like if he knew that watch's origins. He did say "anymore" earlier, too...
(Jean-Pierre) Before I forget, there is only one person, me, you shouldn't be afraid to look in the eyes, unless I am very angry at you. You must avoid others at all costs.

Jerome did say that most Kindred do not look at each other's eyes because of the fear of Dominate, and that one should only do so with people they trust.

Felix's attention was caught. He looked to Griffin, seeming a little curious. "Forgive me, if I am being a bit presumptuous, but the watch seemed familiar to you. She said she had been carrying it for quite some time, but she didn't seem too particularly attached to it. Does this watch have some sort of meaning to you?" He asked, then immediately seemed to think better of it. He looked to Griffin with a nervous smile
"Sorry, that's a bit too bold, isn't it? Don't answer."

The last comment seems to throw him off guard. He looks to Griffin directly. "Jerome said that eye contact is how Kindred force others to do things with their mind. I doubt I'd be worth the effort, honestly, but it's a scary thought."

He pauses for a moment, taking it in before his eyes focus entirely on Griffin. "I've kept your attention for far too long. Forgive me for distracting you from your duties. Thank you, again. I'll be there tomorrow."
