Neb raises an eyebrow.

A Gargoyle hmm? Well, this should be interesting.

Felix's expression becomes uncertain after he stands, looking at Griffin.

Auspex 2:

He gives a nod to the other and steps away from the table. He approaches Darvault with a soft smile and a proper bow.
"Good evening, Primogen."

William scribbles down his e-mail in fine rounded letters, classic style letters. (<- Click me)

"Rufus has been summoned? I wasn't aware. Then again if the events transpired in the old Chantry, it would probably involve him by default. He loves the stone building a lot more than the hotel for some reason. Gargoyle are creatures of habit I guess."

He turned to Neb, "Rufus is the name of the Gargoyle."

Griffin takes back his notebook, seeing the neonate memorized his phone number. He stands and joins Corinna without a word, after all, if they're going to watch people, better do it together. He doesn't say anything after he's sat, but he does give her a glance.


Gregory seems to notice Felix approach him once he's close enough, he gives him a glance, and recognize him. He nods and smiles warmly, offering his hand to shake. Under his other arm, he has a folder with some papers and notebook inside.
(Gregory) Ah, Felix, am I right ?

He does sound approachable and friendly enough, as Felix was warned and as the first impression had shown. He makes an effort to put his clan mate at ease, even if he uses Felix's first name, he stays very polite and proper.
(Gregory) I see the place has not burned down during my absence.

Neb nods to William.

Thank you. I have never seen a Gargoyle before and my Sire only mentioned them in passing.

"Yes, Sir." He answered with a light smile.

"No, it hasn't. I doubt you've missed too much, unless you missed seeing the guest who left a bit ago."He said, unsure if he should mention the minor incident involving that particular individual or not. "Can I have a drink brought for you, Sir?"

Duncan gives a slight bow as Mikael turns and walks away.  Then the Brujah rejoins his companions at the table.  He nods to William and Miriel, and smiles at Igor, before taking his seat once more:

That went better than the last time.  Did I miss anything?

Neb looks to Duncan.

Welcome back. Not a whole lot, but our handsome friend here Neb nods at Igor has a interesting proposition for us. It will probably have to be handled tomorrow night though as tonight is going to be rather busy.

Felix:

Gregory smiles as he shakes hands with Felix.
(Gregory) Oh, no, thank you, I am fine. He answers to the offer. As for the guest, well...

He makes it clear the subject did not interest him.
(Gregory) So, do you have any questions regarding us, our Clan, our work.. ? Jerome has had a lot on his mind so I'll help him out by filling some blanks. Shall we ?

The Primogen indicates a table where they can sit. He won't carry his papers and notebook and stand all night, after all.



Miriel gives a smile at Duncan.
(Miri) Breaking and entering...  She takes the notebook to write her own email, and indicates it to Duncan. We've got ourselves a new job.
(Igor) Hm you can take your time, it's not flying anywhere.. I hope! Oh, oh, Mr Oliver, Miss de Boucher, since I've got you both... Care to tell us how was the attack ? I heard you witnessed it, in the old church ? It's true you saw Rufus ? Tell me everything...

He's fascinated.




Jean-Pierre greets Mikael again with a slight nod.
(Jean-Pierre) Are affairs going as you wish, Mr Horsman ?

His tone is very neutral, interested but polite. It's a way to start a conversation.

When Neb mentions a 'proposition', Duncan seems intrigued.  Yet as Miri mentions 'Breaking and entering', while Neb and Igor talk about a timetable, Duncan is a bit taken aback.

Wait a minute!  I haven't agreed to any of this yet.  Break and enter where?  If a Nosferatu doesn't want to sneak into a place himself, that should be a red flag.  Especially with Igor... considering your hobby, is this some mage's house?  I'm assuming you wouldn't send us on a suicide mission, so I'm hoping it's not Tremere.  Also, tomorrow seems a bit soon, if time is not an issue.  I've been involved in enough hastily-made plans recently-- I'd rather not repeat that anytime soon.

We'll get to the church attack in a minute.  I'm curious about how "We" were talked into this "new job."
Duncan gives Miriel a little 'hairy eyebrow'; i.e. glares at her through lowered eyebrows.

Mikael sits and leans back on his chair, making a gesture to be brought more blood, for his first glass is finished.

Indeed they are, Mr Griffin. Bordeaux hasn't changed as much as I'd have thought.
Are you enjoying the night?

He takes a quick sip and falls silent.

Once a table is indicated, Felix makes his way towards it, and pulls out a chair, though he doesn't sit immediately. "Jerome explained the absolute basics, but some of the finer points are proving to be a bit difficult."He admitted.

"However, I would hate to be a drain on your time. I have no doubts that you are very busy this evening, especially since I am not certain if there is any way that I could repay your kindness."

The Tremere Harpy gives a glance at the small notepad in his hand, before putting it back into the inside pocket of his vest. He makes a slight head movement to let Mikael know he's listening.
(Jean-Pierre) Not much has changed, indeed. A few left, a few died, a few moved in. Power has moved from one hand to the other, priorities changed..

He glances over at Mikael to answer him more directly.
(Jean-Pierre) I've had better nights.



Miri smiles even more.
(Miriel) Oh we'll see the specifics and if we can do it... It's not like Igor wants to get us killed, now?
(Igor) No-no-no, just a regular big mansion with nothing special. Mages? They still exist? Anyway- I'll email you all the information, have a look, go observe, and if you can, take the book and run.

Igor seems apologetic to have brought trouble to the others, by having Duncan raise a flag to his enthusiasm.
(Igor) My clanmates aren't interested because they don't want to.. uh.. "give me my fix", they say. And I'm not nearly as capable. In exchange I'll share with you and anyone you'd like some of my... "wisdom". I'm no Tarcisus but I know a thing or two about a thing or two... And of course, that book's content will interest you. He says so to William, as if to mean the Tremere. I don't mind if it's copied, I just want the original.




Gregory walks with Felix with assurance, puts the papers on the table, and sits on another chair. Then with a smile and a slight movement of the eyes he indicates Felix can sit.
(Gregory) The play bored me, so I have time. Don't be a fool and accept my help, I am however doing it for him and for our clan.

Neb looks to Duncan.

Don't worry. We haven't agreed to anything yet except to find out more information. The tomorrow bit was of my own doing though, and as Igor says it is not necessary for it to be that quick. I just don't currently have plans for tomorrow and we are all busy tonight. I will say though that I like the offer and am interested.

William raises an eyebrow at Igor.
"It's not exactly a secret I'm Tremere since I accompanied Lord Tarcisus inside the day before yesterday. And Neb here..." tilting his head towards the kindred in question, "most likely already figured it out."

He sat and glanced away. "Right, of course."

" I've talked with a few others tonight, and the general bit of advice seems to suggest finding others and making a group with them. I'll probably look into that before the evening is over. However, I'm a bit confused in regards to the different clans. Jerome was a bit preoccupied when he explained it to me earlier."

Igor and I were talking about mages, like those... guys we heard about.  You guys are called warlocks, I hear.  Everyone knows you exist.

William:

Miri made it sound like this was agreed to in my absence.  As long as we get to know more, and can decide on a good plan, that's okay.  Although anyone with a book that interests Igor might know enough to endanger the Masquerade... assuming they're human.

Duncan turns to Igor once more.
You want to know about the attack?  I'm sure it will all come out shortly, when the Prince brings out the Sabbat prisoner.  Or was there something in particular you wanted to know?

William laughs at Duncan, leaning back onto 2 legs with his chair once more.
"I know, I'd be doing a pretty bad job if I wasn't know now would I?"

Igor gives a stare at Duncan, the stare that means I see what you did there, I know what you're up to, and I'm not leaving until you tell me everything. Of course with the intimidation of an ice cream truck driver...
(Igor) Heard about..? There are still magicians out there? Really? Hm.. I'll let it slide for now. I heard there was a prisoner. And that you and you were there, so is like to know how it happened, what did they do... Ah no, my book is not a danger to the Masquerade. It's just a very rare tome. I'll email you the details.

Miri passes over the sketchbook for the others to write their emails.
(Miriel) I'm curious.



Gregory Darvault pushes aside his papers and observes Felix with a look betraying both compassion and a certain boredom. He looks around an instant then speaks.
(Gregory) Clans are not very complicated. They're family links, passed on from sire to childe. All Toreador, all of us are cousins or siblings, coming from one original ancestor as the myth goes. I sired Jerome and as such he became Toreador. He sired you so you are as well. My sire was, too, and so on. Each clan share certain traits, either because it's in the blood or because we tend to pick those who resemble us. Here in Bordeaux, only 9 out of the thirteen clans are represented. Six are the head of the Camarilla, five are independent, and two are of the Sabbat. Us, the Ventrue, the Brujah, the Malkavian, the Tremere and the Nosferatu are on the Camarilla. There were also the Gangrel but they generally became independent a few years ago. Here there stayed Camarilla. We have also Followers of Set and Giovanni, both being independent but respect he laws of the land they are on. I do not know well of the two other independent nor about the Sabbat clans. Those of the main clans who switched sects are called antitribu. A Toreador antitribu is, in that case, a Toreador that belongs to the Sabbat, as they turned against the general dogma of the main clan. Each clan is more attuned to certain disciplines, and to certain behaviors, but the stereotypes aren't always true. There are calm Brujah, Toreador with bad taste, stupid Tremere, civilized and social Gangrel...

Basically what Jerome had explained, but reviewing it is helpful.

Felix had heard this part before, the general names and such being thrown around. It hadn't been what he was interested in, but he gave a nod and a smile, trying to be as polite as possible. "I see, thank you."

He looks around for a moment, seeming to be thinking. "If I might ask, what precisely does one do in court? It is supposed to be all the Kindred sitting around and talking as they please like this?"
