| "What? I said nothing, you've got to admit, it was like watching to children, quite funny." William said as he leaned back on 2 chair legs with a smile. "And I don't know about Griffin, the guy has a thousand and one faces." | |

| Neb steeples his fingers.
I am afraid that I do not know M. Griffin well enough to talk about him, but Felix seems very naive and M. Olav seems overly aggressive. To put it nicely.

| Duncan looks at Miriel, and gestures in the direction of Felix and Jean-Pierre. You were probably wise not to get involved in that. By the way, I noticed Fred running out, but I was a bit distracted by the situation with your wayward clanmate. Any idea why Fred left? | |

| As to Fred I am afraid I wasn't paying him as much attention as I could have. I do not know why he departed. | |

| The Brujah looks from Miriel to Neb-uau for a moment, puzzled. Then he replies to Neb's statement.Oh... thank you. I was actually talking to Miriel, though. I thought perhaps she might have heard some of the conversation between Fred and the Sheriff. I suppose we'll find out later. Duncan lowers his voice a bit, and adds a correction.- Auspex 1, Neb-uau, Miriel, William:
And the guy's name is Christopher Orlov, if I understood M. Griffin correctly. Possibly Russian, although I can't hear it in his voice. With a thoughtful expression, Duncan continues to talk about names, although he doesn't bother to keep his voice quiet as he thinks aloud.Orlov... derived from the Russian word for 'eagle'. He certainly swooped into town suddenly. He's been roosting in the Regent Grand Hotel, I hear.

| Christopher snaps his head around when Laure points out that Claudia of all people is making off with his laptop. An expression of livid and barely constrained fury works its way to the surface, transforming his face into that of someone having some serious desires to rip some throats out. Fangs glint visibly in the light when he grits his teeth eyes following the form of the Tremere. The Beast appears to be practically begging him to let it out and wreak some carnage, tearing and howling at the constraints that normally keep it hidden. For a mere dangerous second Chris appears to be tempted to just give it to the Beast, then he straightens out his posture and takes in a deep breath, forcibly calming himself down and shutting the Beast up. The vampire nods stiffly to Laure, ignores the stuttering apologies of the...whimp (he makes no attempt to hide his disdain for Felix), and moves after Claudia with measured but still stiff steps.- perception + empathy>3:
He may have regained control, but Chris is still far, far from happy.
"Claudia," he calls out to the Tremere. His voice is cold, clipped and businesslike, and carries a hint of authority. "I would very much...appreciate it if you return what belongs to me." - ST:
Totally using leadership. All the leadership!

| Corinna observes the unfolding incident with great interest and raised eyebrows. She seems surprised at how frayed Mr. Orlov's mask of impolite politeness becomes in such a short time, but can only shake her head at Felix' doing. When Claudia speaks, she turns some of her attention back to the table, listening with what seems to be a half-ear. She seems to agree with what is said, though the look on her face is disbelieving when she calls Neb 'charming'."Actually, I have to disagree. Setite or not, he certainly seemed inept with social formalities, even considering that both of us and Miss Vanderstree offered them help in that regard. He made such obvious blunders that I can hardly believe he is ready for presentation ... then again, the same goes for Monsieur Sommier." She purses her lips for a second, looking over to the Toreador she mentioned and the mess he got himself into in his very first night in Elysium. When Claudia addresses her directly, she just gives a slight shrug."Yes, you are right, but I was referring to Monsieur Neb and Monsieur Sommier, seeing how they are the most newly introduced, just this evening. It's such an embarassment to see these two blunder around like this." When the loud clanking of William's cane resounds through the Elysium, Corinna's eyes widen just a little bit at her clanmate's doing, and she sighs deeply, muttering something along the lines of 'oh good grief, not him too'. She averts her eyes for a moment, looking at what the others are doing, then to Mikael as he shakes her hand slightly. She frowns at what he says for a second, then shakes her head."Of course not, Magister. It just isn't the time and place for what I wanted to say, that is all." She returns his smile, after that, and finds her gaze drawn back to the small fiasco that is happening as if on a stage before them. It's like a car crash for her; she just can't not look. When Claudia gets up and declares her intentions of 'teaching' the Lasombra, a positively horrified look dashes across the Librarian's face. She turns to her and speaks in Latin, with an obviously doubtful tone in her voice.- Linguistics- Latin:
"Are you sure this is a good idea? It may be best to just ... let him calm down on his own. He may also not appreciate you taking his belongings, Claudia."
- Perception + Empathy >4:
Corinna doesn't just seem horrified, but honestly worried.
As Mikael leaves aswell, she turns her attention to another disaster about to happen, as her face clearly tells, and looks at Griffin for a moment."I can hardly believe this night is happening. And we haven't even started the official part yet. This is bound to result in a catastrophe of some sort, isn't it?" She fidgets around with her suit, smoothing out some wrinkles, and tries to look at Claudia, Mikael and Orlov and Griffin at the same time.- Auspex 2:
Over the course of the last minutes, Corinna's aura does a complete turnaround, though slowly. Hints of a sickly yellow start poking through, with a slightly different hue of yellow occasionally flickering across a dark shade of blue. The colours are appropriately pale.

| Claudia shrugs and answers her tutor and Corinna as she takes off, with a slight apologetic smile.- linguistics latin:
(Claudia) It's not going to be worse than what I went through during training. My.. sire vouched for him, so I have responsibility.. It's going to be OK.
Claudia moves fast to reach another table and land the computer on it. She has confidence in her movements, because she made a decision and is committing to it but she does look worried and with something on her mind. When Chris notices what she did, she sets the computer on the table and stays in front of it.(Claudia) I'm disappointed, Mr Orlov. You'll have it back once you've apologized. It's your fault for not maintaining composure. And it's when one can notice : Claudia chose a table in the corner. She's planning on putting Chris in time-out.
Jean-Pierre doesn't seem worried or interested by Claudia's actions but he does smirk and nod slightly at Corinna's words.(Jean-Pierre) There has been so much worse. When Natacha slapped Franz in the face because he Embraced Calamity Jane. Or when it was explained to Urbain that he had embraced Darvault's cover. That worries me more. He indicate the closed doors of Gosuin, which Alicia closed. She's alone with the Prince, inside.
Griffin noticing Felix is aiming at him, gives a glance at Corinna to excuse himself, and moves slightly to the side. There's no reason for anyone else to hear the scolding. He doesn't look impressed at what happened.
Miri smiles openly when the others come back- table:
(Miriel) Of course I am wise !.. Fred talked to the Sheriff and Victor. I suspect it's about his sire, Robert, right, hm ?
Her hm is for William to confirm as he still has a few of those papers.

| Chris crosses the distance between himself and Claudia (and her self-appointed bodyguard Mickael) with long strides. Her words do not appear to faze him, and he replies in much the same way as he had called out to her before. "I was a disappointment to my own mother. Why would I care about your disappointment anymore than I did hers? " The vampire scoffs. "As for 'not maintaining my composure', trust me dear, if I had truly lost that things in here would've looked much different. There would be a need for some vacuum cleaning for one." Realizing the setup Claudia had chosen for him, Christopher pauses and looks at it, a somewhat bemused expression replacing the previous coldness. - Perception + Empathy > 5:
The surprise at seeing something so ridiculous (to him), may have pushed most of the anger to the back, but it's still there, simmering quietly. He shakes his head a little, chuckling softly to himself, and takes the last few steps that still separated them. The vampire pats Claudia on the head a few times in a rather paternalistic way as he steps besides her and leans over with the full intent to reach behind her with his other hand and pick up his laptop. "I don't see why I should be the one to apologize. Rather, the others that came crowding in were the reason for my reactions becoming the way they were."

| The younger Tremere pushes Chris away when he touches her, gently. She makes sure he doesn't get access to the computer, moving so he doesn't have access. They have about the same height so it helps.(Claudia) If you had handled better the truth about Regent Kersten, we wouldn't be talking about it. And it's not like you weren't informed. You failed to behave in society, miserably. I thought you were smarter than that. She obviously thinks it's his fault for not beleiving the Tremere and the others who mentioned Lyle's status ; it's what caused him to break his phone and what got on his nerves.(Claudia) Apologize and you'll get your toy back. The vacuum would have been for you. You'd be willing to please the Regent in that way? By getting yourself in such a situation? - Perception+subterfuge>5:
She's carefully playing his ego against him; There's no doubt that Claudia knows and understands people in a very smart way. Basically she's trying to have his ego take over so he proves he's up to the challenge. She's also taking a certain guilty pleasure in trying to bring the Lasombra into doing what she wants him to do, even if she's no Harpy.
- Auspex 2 ; perception+alertness>4:
Talking to Chris seems to distract Claudia from whatever was worrying and scaring her before. She's confident in her abilities.

| Christopher frowns a little when he's so casually pushed away and denied his laptop. "Little lapses happen." He waves the issue of his initial reason for annoyance away as though it was hardly a matter for concern. "As I said, it wouldn't have gotten to this stage had everybody decided to mind their own business." Though he doesn't say it specifically, he certainly means the people that had come to assist Felix. "But if you really wish to blame someone for this whole mess, I suggest you blame Lyle. It's what I'm doing, and it works just fine for me. After all, his neglect in informing me is what caused the...well, I'd hardly call it a problem. An incident at most, and a minor one at that." - Perception + Empathy > 4:
Chris almost seems confused at Claudia's insistence he apologizes. Clearly he does not see his actions as wrong. Perhaps just a little unnecessary in some aspects, but hardly anything to worry over.
- Auspex 4:
Seriously. It's not like anybody died or anyone actually important got his ego bruised. Crossing his arms, the Lasombra observes Claudia for a moment. "There is one thing I might be willing to apologize for. It seems I may have misjudged you. You do have a spine. Unlike some people here. So accept my deepest, most humble apologies on my earlier misconceptions of you. " This sounds...honest enough, though one could wonder about the positives on this. "Though that does not mean I intend to let you manipulate me around of course."

| During the lull in the conversation, Neb sits thinking about the events of the night so far.- Perception + Empathy > 5:
Neb's face grows dark for a moment as he reviews his encounters with the Usurper with delusions of grandeur and the overly pretentious Toreador. However it brightens again as he thinks over the recent chaos he just observed. Neb looks back across the table and waits to see what will happen next.

| Claudia gives a glance at Mikael, relying on his presence to feel secure about herself.(Claudia) That's how we are in the Camarilla. It's your job to adapt and play by our rules now. Do it and behave like a proper gentleman, instead of acting like a child, unless that's how you want to be treated. Do you really want to be treated like a child? She can't help a small pleased smile at the compliment.(Claudia) The Regent trusted you enough for him to vouch for you, and you're blowing it up because of your emotions and rage. Control yourself. She shows a little vulnerability as she goes on. Even if you think I'm better than you first thought, you've scaled down...I thought you were smarter than that. She then indicates the computer, and moves away, closer to Mikael, letting the Lasombra reach his belongings.Miriel observes the kindred once they're all back, and smiles at all of them interested. Igor seems very content to have stayed there with Neb and the Toreador, and after a moment, he closes one fist and makes it hit his other and in a "I got it" fashion.- table:
Igor seems to have remembered something. (Igor) I remember ! You're that guy who's been flooding the market with those movies! That's sooo nasty.
He's not really shocked, but his very optimistic behavior makes him sound very, very eerie. (Miriel) Oh, videos? A setite and video tapes, I wonder, what could it be...

| Mikael does not sit on the table. He watches the drama unfold. Horsman gives Christopher the Tremere Glare of Doom™ when he touches Claudia, but makes no comment or tries to stop it.When the conversation is seemingly over, Mikael asks Claudia- Linguistics - Latin:
Are you done? If she still has some quirky remarks to made, he will stand there looking like a small Rufus. Else he will leave Claudia to her designs as she proceeds to do whatever. Horsman will then go back to the Tremere table, but will not sit yet.

| Claudia just mumbles a vague "yes" to her tutor, nodding. She walks back with Mikael, leaving Chris to his computer. She speaks to her mentor with a low, a bit toned down voice, with a similar low head.- Latin:
(Claudia) My deepest apologies, magister... The Regent instructed me about him, before he has gone missing.
She sounds like she resents Lyle from giving her responsibilities and leaving without notice, but she's trying to keep it quiet as it's not something well accepted by the Pyramid.

| He gave a nod to Griffin, and once he noticed the area relatively empty, he knew he was bound to be scolded. He looked directly to Griffin.- Perception + Empathy > 5:
His pupils are still wavering, he's still a bit shaken, but he's obviously trying to not show it and appear calm. He stays close to the other, and speaks rather softly.- Auspex 1enhanced hearing, Griffin:
"Sir, if I may ask, how much did I mess up just now?" He asked.

| Christopher frowns with disapproval as Claudia speaks, a few sharp words ready for his own response. They die on his lips though, his expression going through a rapid transformation. He stares at the Tremere with an expression of complete distrust, caution, and a fair amount of disbelief.- Perception+Empathy>7:
There's more than that in his eyes. The flickering of a deep sorrow, as though Claudia's words had forcibly opened up a long forgotten wound. He doesn't even seem to quite hear what she says near the end, his stare having become of the type that looks straight through people as though they're not there. A thousand yard stare.
The Lasombra blinks after several seconds of silence, turning to look at Claudia again, expression now completely blank. He appears to be out of sorts somehow. No snarky remarks or sarcastic words come from him for once. Eventually he moves to take his laptop from the table, putting it in the bag and closing it up. Still without a word he hoists the bag over his shoulder and walks out of the Elysium. If anyone calls after him, he does not respond.

| - Linguistics - Latin:
It's not your fault he is a child. Mikael proceeds to the Tremere table, accompanied by Claudia. He takes a brief look at Griffin but says nothing. He mutters another "excuse me" and proceeds walking in a straight line to the neonate table. Upon reaching it, Mikael greets Igor. He does not start an actual conversation with him though. Instead, he turns his head into Duncan's direction.M. Oliver, may I have a few words with you? The way he phrases it and the fact that he does not take a seat for himself is very suggestive that whatever few words he wants to trade, he will do so away from the neonates.- Perception + Etiquette >= 4:
He could have simply ordered Duncan to accompany him, but chose not to do so.

| Griffin stares right through Felix with not an ounce of sympathy when he approaches him, and signs he should sit before the neonate speaks to him. He answers after a glance around, and crossing his arms, not impressed.- Felix, spies:
(Jean-Pierre) Not enough to get yourself killed.
That could be a compliment. (Jean-Pierre) As Kindred, think of yourself as high society and nobility at the same time. Don't pick objects, don't touch others, don't belittle yourself. There's no room for compassion, friendship, trust or love in this society. All of these are a weakness for other to abuse to their profit. Do you understand?
His tone is harsh, his deep, soul-taking stare is trademarked by the Tremere, the blue-ish eyes are really cold. He's building a wall, that's for sure. (Jean-Pierre) If it can make you feel any better, you're as wrong as he was.
He means Christopher, but he's not making movement to indicate him, not even blinking, hoping context is enough for him to understand.
Emilio, seeing the Lasombra leave, signs to Neb he'll be right back, across the room. It seems he had finished his conversation with Neve and Doctor. After the message has been understood, follows Christopher outside. Neve and Doctor both profit from the situation. Doctor goes to join Theodore, and they go to the balconies to discuss more freely, but Neve chooses to remain alone and observe. Eventually, she's joinded by Victor de Sainte-Croix, while the Sheriff joins Laure and Jerome.
Laure seems to be discussing with Jerome, or rather, she seems to be trying to make him reason out. The Mandataire stayrs very passive in front of his Elysium Keeper friend, listening.
Claudia spares a glance at Chris when he leaves, then back at Mikael as he gives her a few words she takes as comforting. She takes back her seat, close to Corinna. She gives her an apologetic look, before looking down.
Igor seems very pleased to see Mikael and greets him with all due respect, but while it seems he'd like to discuss occult matters with the Magister, he doesn't insist as he's not the target. He pulls a fake disappointed ugly face before turning back to Neb. Miriel gives a very charming smile to Mikael, then to Duncan, and makes a "please do so" elegant gesture, "allowing" Duncan to go if he wishes so. The Toreador even makes a slight pout as she understood she's not included. It's all an act, however, and it shows.

| Neb notices Mikael and looks him over out of the corner of his eye. Though as he is not addressed he makes no move to say anything. He does notice Emilio's signal and makes the appropriate response. He then returns his attention to Igor.
Well, you obviously know my little secret. So, what may I do for you?

| Felix sat as indicated and listened, though he seemed unsure. He speaks quietly to Griffin.- Griffin, spies:
"But Claudia said-" He stops himself, seeming to have thought better of any sort of arguing. He gives a nod. "I see. I have been told that as Harpy, you must keep track of such infractions. If it is not too bold of me to ask, how does one go about repairing their reputation from such a state? Can it even be done?" He raises his head for a moment, seeming thoughtful before he looks back to Griffin and speaks again.- Griffin, spies:
"This undead Kindred thing is a bit more complicated than Jerome made it out to be."

| Duncan nods in response to Miriel, although he is not satisfied by her answer. He whispers to her across the table.- Table, Auspex 1:
Yes, we knew why Fred wanted to talk to the Sheriff. Something about his Embrace, and how his sire did some kind of experiment on him. All I saw before things got tense was Fred showing Lambert those papers he had. William still has some of them, but I guess Fred kept a few. Then a bit later, Fred nearly sprinted out of Elysium.
What I wanted to know was, how did the Sheriff react? Is he the one who sent Fred away? Duncan leans back, and sighs. He listens to Igor as the Nosferatu talks about Neb and some video, although from the sound of it, Duncan has no desire to know the details. When he comments, there is sarcasm in his voice.Yeah, this doesn't sound like a Disney movie. Welcome to the family business, huh? As Orlov stalks out of the Theatre, Duncan watches him leave with a neutral expression.I guess introductions will have to wait. Duncan stands when Mikael approaches their table.M. Horsman. Good evening. To everyone else, Duncan says: Excuse me. Duncan follows Mikael away from the table.- Auspex 2:
Duncan's aura shows a dislike of this person, but not strong enough to be hatred. However, his manner doesn't show it.

| Mikael slowly walks towards a less crowded part of the room. He speaks as they are walking together.I owe you an apology, M. Oliver. With all the insanity in these past nights, I had to juggle my responsabilities, and I happened to do so rather cheaply. But I have not forgotten my duty. I believe that by tomorrow or after tomorrow I'll be able to be aid the investigation personally. Until then I'm afraid I'll only be able to help you through less tangible means. He finally stops and turns to the Brujah.- OOC - Look at this Duncan:
It may look like a machine-gun interrogation but "in-game" Mikael waits until Duncan answers one question before starting the next one. I do this so that we can have a conversation without 10x the number of posts ^-^
How is the investigation going? Found anything? Any prime suspects? Is there anything you need help with? Where are you investigating next?
