Is this romulan? I think my universal translator just broke down.

You can try but quite honestly it's a gigantic pain in the ass and nothing guaranteees it will work
A pirate's life is hard my friend. Arrrr.

Besides, I'm pretty sure Skyrim shows the version installed.
I've spoken with Google and he confirmed: https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/919430-how-do-you-tell-what-version-of-the-game-you-have/

Just asking to see if I'm not the only one, but am I the only one who's wanted a mod to let you join Alduin or the Dragons?

Like how Oblivion has the "Join the Mythic Dawn" mod and Morrowind has the "Great House Dagoth" and "Sixth House Dagoth" mods, I've kinda been thinking on the idea of "what if there was a Skyrim Mod to join Alduin instead of the Greybeards? What if you could join the dragons instead of the humans, what kind of paths would be taken in the questline?"

I'm just asking if anyone's felt that way.

Inever thought of it, but honestly it is a great idea. Dovahkin is a Dragon, after all. Albait in human form. That could make joining the Dov parties sort of awkward. Not to mention quest writing.

Quest for a dragon body. Dragon perks tree. Eating Alduin's soul and taking his place. Battle in Sovngard. Destruction of world.

You traitors.

The thing is, Alduin wanted to RULE the world rather than destroy it. He is the firstborn of Akatosh afterall. ;3

Augh, I need to get the ideas off of my chest. I just imagine sometime as you're going to the Greybeards, you'll be approached by a Dragon on the way up who offers to take the Dovakiin onto their side. They'll be taken to Skuldafn where they'd be approached by Alduin (or Nahrakiin) and basically initiate into joining with the Dragons. From then on, they'd let you continue to the Greybeards to act as a mole for them.

The only other ideas that come up at the moment is that Alduin (or Nahrakiin) would direct the Dovahkiin to where other Dragons are and awaken them, or they would shove the Dovahkiin to where traitorous or weaker dragons are and have them fight in order to make the Dovahkiin stronger. Of course, this can end in the Dovahkiin's death, but if he dies to a lowly, useless and/or traitor dragon then he wasn't useful at all.

Other ideas include basically reviving dragon cults, visiting other Dragon Priests and dealing with Dragon Priest politics, possibly even being able to walk through Draugr ruins without fear of being attacked. Finally, an alternate idea for the Civil War quest line, one that Clavicus Vile would be proud of. Have dragons kill both sides and establish YOURSELF as the high king of Skyrim.

Of course, I think it should be possible for the Dovahkiin to turn on Alduin and try to take his place. And of course, for a lighter shade of black, I also imagine a way to get Parthurnaax on your side or to simply spare him.

PostSubject: Re: Skyrim   Skyrim - Page 15 EmptyMon Jun 13, 2016 12:56 pm

Skyrim will be 5 years old this November. Back in the day if you waited 5 years you'd get brand new Elder Scrolls game to play, not upgraded graphics for the last one.

Thanks Philo, but I think I'm done with Skyrim for the foreseeable future. After more than 700 hours, I'm just tired of it. Not to mention that getting all the really good mods to work on Linux would probably be a huge pain in the rear.

I might play some OpenMW though, once I get tired of the A Game of Thrones mod for Crusader Kings II.

I am currently playing Special Edition. Is it only me or no bugs have been patched, like, at all...?

Playing unmodded Skyrim again is like... I don't know. Losing virginity again?

Sometimes I get butthurt, like when I got to Riften with a ton of ore and the smelter wasn't there. I forgot it was modded into existence... Some old, forgotten bugs make me bleed, too.

Besides, do you know how charming you are? I am just flattened.

I'm fairly sure that SE just uses an upgraded game engine, but the content of the game has been left untouched. So yes, all the old bugs are back.

At this point SE is for console peasants and the PC master race is better off sticking with it's fully modded original Skyrim. Given time many mods will be ported over to SE, but for now it's not worth the bother. Come back to it in a year or two.

stemrolled . . . as in steamrolled by stem cells?

that lends a new dimension to the flattening . . .

And of COURSE Jad reminds you of Pissed-off Chistof. They're practically siblings!

Nah... By a stemroller. You know, for paving streets.

Pissed off Jad? Impossible...

@Jad: Now I feel like a console peasant... Lazy AF for Bethesda to not even include stuff from Unofficial Patch.
