| The guy by the Skyforge will train you. Seems I'm a bit ahead, that's unexpected I have just finished Whiterun (I went for the prisoner, and I did ask nicely first... ), been to dwemer forge, got Dawnstar... Almost have not touched those main quests. | |

Started Companions, Dawnguard (about to meet Serena) and pierdylion small quests.

Not if you keep killing Elves and every Nord does the same!

| The Thalmor can be most easily described to people who don't know them as Altmer Nazis. the comparison may not be entirely accurate in all aspects, but it gives people a good idea of what to expect from them.
Feral, in one of the patches (I think it was 1.5 or 1.6) they made it so that the skill XP you get for smithing items depends on the value of the items you create, so after some time Iron Daggers and Leather Bracers are no longer good enough to improve your skill at a reasonable rate. Switch to Dwarven Bows instead. IIRC you need 2 Dwarven and 1 Iron ingot to create one so they're really efficient to make and they're worth 270 gold vs 25 gold for a Leather Bracer.
You can get plenty of Dwarven ingots by going to a Dwarven ruin, laoding up on all the dwaren metal clutter and smelting it down. And as a bonus you'll also find soulgems to help with your enchanting.

| I recommend jewelry for smithing. You get plenty of jewels from mining, and if you do one or three bounty quests in Whiterun, you get funny little spell called Transmute (Alchemists suck on that!). | |

| Jewlery is good too, especially ithe golden diamond/ruby stuff. And you don't strictly need to do any bounty guests if you already know where the spell is. | |

| For me Bracers still work... I make so many weapons that it doesn't matter much, really. Go anywhere on foot, get jumped by animals, work the hides, make leather armor or whatnot, enchant it, make money. Get Archery and/or One-Handed, Smiting, Enchantment, Speech in one go. Jewelery raw materials are in many a bandit lair for free if your Archery and Sneak are high enough... All I regret is I haven't nearly any fun time as a werewolf. Too busy slaying dragons. With all the Thalmor, Forsworn, Necromancers and regular bandits I meet I have problem selling the loot. Shopowners run out of money in the middle of the list. Not to mention what happens when you enchant half the heap to get rid of pierdylion Petty Soulgems from the inventory. Both my bow (Dwarwen)and sword (Skyforge) have double enchantment for Fire and Soultrap... Yeah, Enchanting 100. Smithing catching up... | |

| You're a busy little bee! I'm working the thieves guild now, enjoying it veeery much.
If I strike from invisibility, does it count as sneak attack? Also, Bladesman: does it raise crit chance or crit damage?

| I think you still need to be in sneak mode to sneak attack, even when invisible. Bladesman increases both crit chance and crit damage. For example with the first rank you have 10% chance of causing 100% critical damage and with the third rank you have 25% chance to cause 150% critical damage. However, crit damage is roughly half of the weapons's base damage, before factoring in any multipliers from skill, perks, smithing, enchantments and potions. So with 3 ranks and a Daedric Sword that's 25% chance to do 10 bonus damage on a weapon that might be already doing 72 damage per hit (100 skill, 5x Armsman perk, legendary quality). So you spent 3 perks for a 25% chance to do 14% extra damage (translating into less than 4% extra damage per hit on average), less if you also use Fortify One-handed potions or enchantments. While we're at it, the axe perk sucks because if you're doing it right the enemy will die before the damage over time evect accumulates enough damage for it to be worth it and the mace perk sucks because there are no enemies with high armor rating. It is useful for NPCs fighting against you though (IIRC stronger variants of bandits, Forsworn and other fighters have all three of these perks). | |

| I am an idiot! I accidentally sold Ring of Hircine and I don't know to whom! To make it worse it was a long time ago (I checked in the saves). I checked in all the chests in Breezhome, on Lydia and by all the vendors...

| I laughed so hard I almost cried...
By the way, what race do you play? I knew really little of lore and chose a Nord. Frost resistance is really useful, Nords are well balanced between stealth and open battle capabilities, so I am rather happy.
Khajit would have been too sneaky, to poorly suited for direct action for me, but the nightvision in some dungeons...
I slightly regret not picking a Dunmer, though. Fire resistance and Magick affinity... Delicious. Dunmer are more racist than the Thalmor, though.
