Cease and Desist to Antitribu (Marvin) (Locked)

After I checked out the Rava Forum and found what I found, I decided the only thing to do was to send a Cease and Desist letter to Marvin through his ModDB page. You can't email him directly because he hides behind his Rava forum. If you're curious as to what kind of lies I'm talking about, here's the link with all of the evidence of his BS.

Here is a screenshot of the Cease and Desist letter sent to him just now. Let's see if he even has the honor to respond to it.

This picture is taken directly off of Marvin's new "RavaFX" forum page. Another example of his lies to fans about The Final Nights, saying that TFN used Antitribu's assets that we shared 3 years ago. We've never used anything of his nor have we ever shared. Read what Belnara asked Marvin, and read his lying response. What a piece of shit.



The more I look at Marvin's garbage, the more I want to puke. Check out this screenshot of Antitribu, does that icon for Serpentis look familiar? Of course it does, BECAUSE I MADE IT!!! OMG I sooo hate this kid!

So Marvin responded a little bit ago, I mailed him back after he bold faced lied to me about using our Serpentis icon AND he still insists that he helped make TFN by giving us assets. The nerve of this kid, to lie right to my face, and even when I'm showing him a screenshot of it. Absolutely unbelievable, there's nothing this dude won't do.

Well community, here you have it. I hope you enjoy Antitribu because we helped make it apparently, without our permission. I really hope that Lenuska and ArtBlizzard see this and stop working with him permanently. He'd be up shit creek if they did because they do all the work.

Signothorn, Wesp, and Arthur have been made aware of this thread and will view it shortly. The people who SHOULD know DO know so I can probably lay this to rest.

One last thing, I did a comparison shot of the icon I made back in 2010 compared to the icon on Marvin's Antitribu site. See a difference? No? They look identical to you also? That's because they are, the imperfections of when I made it are the exact same. Now do you really think the person who created the hud icons for Antitribu would've made it the EXACT same way down to the smallest pixel?

I'm not playing his shit. Now that I see more screen shots of the game, it's a rip off. I don't care how amazing it is, I wouldn't wipe my ass with his mod if I was out of toilet paper. Turn a friend of mine on to TFN MOD last night. I'm going to have him come over here and maybe sign up. He's loved the original like me and had no idea people were modding it.

I told Mv after he asked me about the thread I seemingly created with the news of the release (I did though with a different title) the same thing I stand by here; I'm just out to play the mods and have a good time regardless of what shady skeleton lies where. The conflicts are beyond me, none of my business and I just wanna have a good time.

I'll keep my eyes and ears open for the truth behind the whole thing, currently leaning towards Zer0's side of the story since his story matches up the best; but either way I won't keep myself from playing Antitribu as well as TFN if we get a release that I find fun enough to bother with. I hope all fans of Bloodlines take this approach to TFN/Antitribu, they don't need to concern themselves with the politics behind the scenes. I'm not asking people to not play Antitribu, on the contrary, I hope people play and enjoy the work Lenuska and her team put into it, but I can't publicly support the project as long as Marvin is attached to it. If they got rid of him, I'd fully support Antitribu. It's a shame such talented individuals teamed up with this guy.

Of course I can Karavolos. Marvin lost his privacy privileges with me last week. He hides in the shadows like a snake quietly whispering to each community leader spreading his lies. He's right about one thing thought. The mods are free and this drama is unnecessary. There are really no awards or anything.

So why do modders make mods?
Because they like to give something to the community!

The Antitribu mod is a project that has combined the efforts of several people. Do not disrespect their work by hating the Antitribu mod, because they, just like you have worked hard to do what they have accomplished.

I'm sure that this campaign of yours against Mv.c9 is also hurting them. Do not punish their hard work for one guy's mistakes.

Is he's ashamed of asking for some intelligence sharing (like, "hey, how did you do this or that"), or he can't be original? Either way, it was so easy to find... I just went to their website and played TFN mistakingly!
-Since they emailed me about their soon to release Mod, I looked up the web for the previous versions, and instead found TFN 1.2... hehe XD

I'm not targeting Antitribu, I'm making sure to target Marvin. It's just unfortunate that good talent unwillingly (or willingly, I don't know) teamed up with this lying thief.

Welcome to TCI Cretino, glad to have you. It's a matter of trust, and I know I can't trust this kid, that's been the whole point of my rant all along. I wouldn't have a problem with His mod if he would just be honest about his team's "inspiration" for their "original" ideas. Intellectual property is still intellectual property. He's wrong. There isn't enough weaving of words that's going to smooth over his weasel behavior. Doesn't it make you wanna rip somebody's spine out? What? You saying that's just me? Save for the possibility that 2/5 comes and suddenly the date changes to one that is ridiculous, or perhaps is pushed back, the only other thing I wonder about is how big the download will be. If supposedly Antitribu is suggesting changes beyond even what CQM or TFN already do, then it might be pretty large. The number I read on their forum isn't...well, let's just say that it would be like downloading some of the ME2 DLC for me all over again. Meh, something goes wrong, then into the Final Nights it is - although it certainly will be regardless for me.

Other than that, the idea of using something someone else created, especially when it's just grabbed and used without even a simple question, or hell, a credit somewhere in the least - is something I just wouldn't do. While I would not attempt something like TFN, I know what goes into it. Mostly I've just messed with textures, some of them being things I plan to share(the only thing stopping me being my hesitation in uploading to the Nexus VtMB site[along with the other more obvious ones], and perhaps general laziness). But none of it uses something I didn't make, or something that was taken from the vanilla game and edited - and if I would use something like a existing player reskin, I'd credit the original without hesitation - and certainly ask, if possible.

You guys have the right idea. If he just showed a little respect from the beginning and was a team player, none of this would've gone down this way. Everything was fine honestly until I saw that he moved the release date up by 2 weeks specifically to undercut our release date, then when asked not to do that, he said some choice words about me, then did it anyways.

That's what sparked all of this, which then led me to research further into what he was doing, which then I found out all of the other stuff, that's when I blew up. We had our disagreements years ago but had buried it a long time ago, what he did yesterday with the release date started it all back up again.

I didn't look on his site, because I still believe Antitribu will never be released.
But if it's right that he had set a release date, and moved it after Zer0 annonced the date for TFN, then he is the biggest motherfucker I hope never to see.
