Carrion's haven

Carrion slides a hand over the cold wall as she passes by her ears and eyes perked and alert for any trouble. When she's sure no one is watching she opens the door to her haven just wide enough for her to slide through the gap. Once inside she takes a moment for her eyes to adjust to the darkness of the room, it happens quickly enough and she takes a wide step into the room itself then normal steps to the nearest light switch. When she flicks it on she turns to look at the trip wire of fishing gut tied to two screws in the floor. It was quite close to the door anyone who carelessly opened the door wide would break the gut and anyone who didn't know where it was would trip themselves on it and cause the same result.

Her eyes satisfied she drops her obsfucate and unclipped her chalk bag and rock climbing shoes from her snapclip carabiner attached to the back of her belt and stores them away safely for the next night beside her desk. She eyes the chalk bag for a moment before placing it next to the shoes, she wasn't sure why she bothered with the chalk any more it wasn't like she perspired since her embrace but she couldn't quite bring herself to bin it, the practical side of her said that if she did she would need it for some reason or another.

Flopping into the large bean bag she turned her attention to her laptop and booted it up. Whilst she waited she removed her boots and pulled her neck warmer up to act like a head band to keep her fringe from her eyes instead of a mask to hide her face. By the time she was finished her laptop had loaded and she noticed the new email. She sighs softly debating if it is worth replying to the email now or waiting til tomorrow night she decides now would be best that way it would be one less thing for her to do when she awoke from the sleep.

I know you were busy it's ok ^_^. I'm sorry I couldn't get in touch with you sooner seems the old chantry doesn't like mobile phones all that much. Turns out they caught the Lasombra behind it all he was known as Frederic Vonzel dunno if anyone knows anything about the guy. Turns out they were after a nodite artefact but hit the wrong chantry since they had it at the other one not St Eloi. He'll be executed but not before the Tremere have their little tea party with him first. They moved him into storage for now at any rate.

I've been teamed up with Mikael Horsman to figure out what is going on with the clocks of life (grave robberies) but he didn't sound like he needed me to be honest so I doubt he will call any time soon. As for the students and outcast women vanishing Duncan seems to have taken control over that but I'm sure if I asked about it he'd give me information.

I'm not exactly what you'd call "official official" up top either but I need to talk to Igor about that. I'm not exactly excited to run into the Prevost either. Momo? If he socialised with Heudebert is it possible he swapped sides? Personally I think I met him once or twice maybe I played poker with him or something I can't remember.

Of course I will go take a look around Fabrik is there anywhere in particular I should check out in the area or what I should be looking out for? Is it worth looking in his Haven as well if it hasn't been done already?

Persephone

Carrion plugs her MP3 player into her laptop and listens to music while she waits for a reply or for sleep to come. To kill some time she pulls out of one of the draws a drawing pad, pencil and picture and tries to copy it.

Pierre took his damn time to respond, but he did so sometime before dawn.
"We know that Vonzel guy, he stopped by in the 60's or 70's or so and presented himself as Ventrue. Seems that harpy bitch was good pals with him, or at least, he triggered her interest. Thks for the info. Certainly the Tremere will catch her and ask her a few questions too. I mean if we know that, they certainly do. Teamed up with Horsman ? That's major. Have fun kid ! If it was us, there would be no traces left about the robbery, so have a look at amateurs or satanist idiots, who knows.
Don't worry about Prevost, he doesn't look twice at a nosferatu and tbh I even think he knows we're more than we say we are. But we're no threat and we are much more Camarilla than some Ventrues out there.
Igor's worried about the Momo topic too. He's the one who told me about it, that's why I ran a check on his sim card's gps. We've already been to his haven. Nothing. Couldn't find the sim card or the cell phone either, since we lost track somewhere around there..

Carrion hadn't noticed the email's arrival until she awoke the next evening. Cursing vehemently she opened it and began reading. When she was done she took a moment to fold up her bed and sink back into her seat to reply.

Interesting can you give me Kersten's email address or mobile number? May as well pass the info along. If he knows then I've wasted a moment of his time if not then I could always use the brownie points.

I already asked him about it ages ago so he does know of it and that it is related to the Grave robberies besides he's pretty much the only person that explains occult stuff to me I may need to ask him stuff.

Yeah, it looks like I have at any rate. Ha! fun we don't always get along exactly; gotta give the bloke credit he has a sharp tongue. Why is it major? I figured they jumped on anything occult.

Do you know what he looked like when he used Scoop? I mean asking if someone's seen a guy in a blue hat about the place isn't going to be very helpful. Also have you checked CCTV around the place? Maybe it caught something? Also can you dig up his call log see who he's been in touch with maybe that would give us something to go on.

About Horsman, well, the problem is that he's a stuck up Tremere. I don't envy you !
Satanists.. google ? I don't know. Find a goth and follow them ? Usually that's under the influence of whoever has their hand in the occult fields.. And I don't think Kersten will guide you to his protégés ! About the Giovanni, yeah well probably, I know they used to hang a lot in the cemeteries (as well as lots of others, like us!), but I can't tell.
As far as the others are concerned, like the negros, for them, we're all the same. Don't worry.
Momo tends to have a very unique way of talking. If he can put in a random sexual implicit joke into each of his sentences, he does so. Other than that... Maybe you should ask the Tremere Claudia Vonigner, she's quite aware of us and while she's all delicate and sensitive about our looks, I wouldn't be surprised if she could see past Obfuscate. Or use another sense, whatever. When I smell wine, I know one of us is around, but maybe according to which cellars we use, we have a different smell. Ask a Toreador about different odors.
I couldn't access his phone, I only managed to get his latest position through the GPS, then nothing. He usually had his phone off anyway, and only turned it on when necessary.

I'm not forbidding you to be out, it's not my job. You gotta be out and be our eyes for the time being anyway ! But try and stay safe, between public places, elysiums, known hangouts.. And keep my number on speed dial !

As he said so, he joined in the data he could give out on Lyle. That's another number to add to the contacts, along with Celine's, the Chantry's, the Bodegon's, and of course, Pierre's. That's without counting Duncan's and Mikael's.

Carrion takes the free time to get ready, changing her clothes to fresh ones and dumping the others into a hamper. She makes a mental note to do some laundry before sun up. When she's done she checks her email once more and begins responding.

Thank you I will add the chantry number just in case I need to use it for whatever reason but I will email him though I don't want to piss him off.

Ah well, could be worse I guess Mikael probably isn't the worst out there.

Good point I'll see what I can find with a Google search and get my arse in gear I get the impression that Mikael may try and keep me out of the loop with the grave thefts if he thinks they're important so I may as well try and do some ground work of my own.

I can't help it, I know most think nossies are all the same but it still worries me. Funny you should mention Claudia, I met her last night. She scared the crap out of me, when we were alone she asked my name; so I figured she knew more than one of us use the ID's no clue how she knew though; still didn't answer the question though. Maybe her and Momo spoke, I'll see what I can dig up.

After finishing up her email to Pierre she does a quick google search for Satanism and any Occult groups in the local area. After that she sends a quick email to Lyle with the information Pierre gave her.


Asked around after hearing about Vonzel apparently he's been here before in the 60/70's and claimed Ventrue as his clan, he also got chummy with Neve Rosetti. Not sure if this information is of any help or not but I figured it was worth sending just in case.

Friday Night

Carrion makes good time arriving back to her Haven. She goes through her usual paranoid routine on entering her haven, checking to make sure she's alone and no one has broken in she finally drops her Obfuscate once she's satisfied and the door is securely locked behind her.

With a small sigh she falls onto her bean bag and boots up the computer. The first thing she looks at his her email to see if anyone has gotten back in touch with her. She also begins printing out a large map of Bordeaux in the hope of making some sense of the information she's received from her research.

She eyes the growing laundry pile with a certain disdain, glancing at her clock she knew she'd never make it back in time, and refused to go down in Bordeaux history as the Nossie who got herself killed cleaning her knickers. Maybe Igor would help her get a more convenient way to wash her clothes she thought to herself, they needed to talk anyway about her other little issue.

Her email has a few spams, but nothing in particular.
A little chuckle a little behind her draws her attention after she has printed her map, especially because she recognizes the voice. Vigo drops the obfuscate with a little louder chuckle, approaching from her fellow clanmate.
(Vigo) Hello. You don't mind the intrusion, right ?

Of course, his questionning means nothing, he wouldn't expect anything else than "of course not", and doesn't wait for an answer. He digles his keys in front of his eyes and puts them back in the front pocket of his hoodie sweater.
(Vigo) You kept me waiting. So, what's up ?

He throws himself on the mattress to sit, smiling openly.

Carrion grumbles at the lack of emails, hoping to have heard something from Laurent but it seemed her luck on that one had run out.

When she's got the map printed out she begins routing around one of her draws looking for something but stops and shudders at hearing the familiar voice. She does her best to hide the shudder but its still very noticeable.

Vigo?

Peering across her shoulder she glances at him to put herself at ease. Sliding the draw shut, she sits back in her bean bag and was about to gesture to the mattress but he sat on his own volition.

I'm sorry...The job you've given me is rather...full time.

She shifts uncomfortably in her seat before she answers his question.

Well, to save you time which would you like to know about:

The Momo issue, the vanishing Students or the Clocks of Life? Either way I'm no close to sorting any of them out yet.

She still doesn't seem to have relaxed under his gaze.

The Nosferatu laughs when he hears his own name.
(Vigo) The one and the only.

He puts his arms behind his head.
(Vigo) Of course it's full time, and if you didn't have to sleep, you'd be working day and night... He clears loudly his throat and chuckles. Momo. So it touches the kine as well...

Missing kine seems to bore him, but if he gotta learn about it to get enough information... He smiles, showing his uneven yellow pointy teeth
(Vigo) Or anything else that might be of some use. Don't worry 'bout time, I plan on staying here for the day anyway. You don't mind, right ?

He obviously won't take "yes I mind" for an answer and totally imposes his presence in the small room.

Carrion just nods her head in agreement when he states if he could she'd be working all day and night. Vigo knows her well enough to know that if she could she would, without him prompting her to do so. Her head cocks to the side in curiosity when he mentions Momo.

Was Momo looking into stuff for you as well?

When he mentions staying her lips quirk up into a small smile. She seems to have settled from the initial shock of his surprise presence in her haven. She can't help but draw a parallel between how she was embraced and how he decided to show up, both times he scared the crap out of her.

What is mine is yours, you know you've always been welcome. Hmm anyway the Momo issue, turns out he was looking into the increased Kine deaths as well. Spoke with Laurent, he wasn't allowed into the club but mentioned stalking some journalist because the newspaper was doing a shitty job reporting stuff. Which it is, thanks to Theo, he's been stemming the flow of information to stop people from panicking. That's where I've been for the past three hours, sifting through the information at the Sud-Ouest.

She turns back to the computer and hooks her phone up it using one of the free USB cables and begins copying over the pictures she's taken. As she does this she carries on talking occasionally glancing at Vigo in case she misses a gesture or something.

So, this woman categorised the the victims into students and young workers, women of foreign origins and a miscellaneous section. I also got a few addresses and last known locations, I was gonna mark them up on the map and see if it showed me anything. I can put the addresses in google maps to see where they are then mark em up.

Anyway, I have no clue where Momo went from there. I was planning to ask the Setites and the Giovanni if they had noticed anything odd tomorrow and hook up with Duncan and pester Griffin and see if they've learnt anything new about it all. Maybe that will give me a hint.

You know Tarc is back right? He gave a titbit about the clocks, just a description but better than nothing. That's something else I need to do really, I need to call Mikael...See if I can worm out any more information or learn more by helping.

She rummages through her pockets and jots down a few things as she speaks.

The Nosferatu makes a no sign concerning Momo working for him or not. He sounds playful about it despite being commanding.
(Vigo) Those things you shouldn't know anything about.

Obviously, it's a yes. He listens with interest, silent and immobile as she tells the tale.
(Vigo) Don't worry about kine, those are partly our fault ; well, some were cleaned up by Carrion, some were taken care of by the culprit themselves. Obviously no one's gonna come up and say "hey that's been my doing".

He keeps silent a mere instant, thoughtful.
(Vigo) Why would the Tremere harpy know anything ? I mean apart from him selling out on a clanmate of his. That's interesting though, little Claudia's jewish ? Yeah Pierre passed on the info. As for 'Duncan'.. The new Brujah kid right ? Yeah I spoke with him. Interesting stuff. You might have more luck with the snakes, they kinda liked you when you work'd for them.

He's sarcastic about the Setites, but it seems that for him, she did a good job with them and they are on good terms.
(Vigo) I couldn't care less about those missing skulls, but since the old guy's back.. The fuck with that, I hope Kersten has him on a close leash or something. I heard his excuse for being here is because he was worried about his grandkid ? You met him, right, what did you think ? I'm not worried about Mikael, but watch him closely.. Working with him could be a good idea, if you can cope with the cvlassical stuck up Tremere personality..

At his playful admonition she tries to hide the smirk that flashes on her lip for a moment and makes a small clicking noise with her tongue, its certainly a lot more relaxed than her normal "yes sir" response that Vigo normally sees when she visited with other Nosferatu. She turns to look at him, trying to gauge his reaction with the next bit of information she provides.

I only ask because he was sniffing around Lambert as well.

She interjects when he mentions their clan as the probable cause for the deaths.

This really needs to slow up if it is us, scaring the lambs isn't good business for the wolves. They need to start using the hotline, so we can get rid of the bodies in a way that they won't be found. If the bodies the hotline are hiding are being found then maybe we need to figure out a new method of disposal.

She doesn't seem all that surprised when he mentions Claudia.

I expected he would, I'm sure that little titbit would spread like wildfire if it ever cropped up in Elysium. Though I'm not sure it matters so much now, considering the war ended years ago. Oh, that reminds me, who was pestering her a while back? She mentioned a Nosferatu was harassing her.

As for Griffin, he may not know anything but better to ask and get nothing than to miss information.

He seems to have piqued her interest when he says he spoke with Duncan, she turns so she's facing him again, leaving the computer to finish the copying of the files and nods in answer to his question, before asking a few of her own.

She shrugs slightly at the sarcastic comment on the Setites and lets him carry on about the skulls and Tarc.

Mephisto was entertaining Tarc when I visited, Claudia was with him. Didn't see the his kiddies Emilio and Remi whilst I was there though.

I think Lyle is avoiding Tarc for the moment, and pushing Claudia between them to distract and keep him happy. I could be wrong but that was the impression I got. Yeah official reason for the visit is Claudia's "bleeding thing" though I think that as well is bullshit.

The clocks may be worth pursuing, Tarc pretty much admitted both the Tremere and the Giovanni could use them. Its always good to have something someone wants, getting one up on the Tremere sounds handy in this situation especially if they think we hand it over as a favour; may even improve clan relations. Or we can just keep it so they can't have it.

As for Mikael, I can get used to him, working with him won't be a problem. I don't know how much it will divulge though but some information is better than none.

The Nosferatu seems interested at the mention of Lambert.
(Vigo) The Sheriff? Oh this is getting interesting. Well nobody cares what happens to kine as long as nobody knows... But if the Sheriff himself's getting careless..

He's obviously planning on using that information, nodding to himself and thinking about it.
(Vigo) I'll try getting the word out so you and some others could use the work. But damn medias are getting trickier and trickier. Doctor's use of the internet doesn't cover that shit, and comments and retweets and whatnot are a pain in the ass to track and shut up. Obviously, he dislikes the situation of the Tremere having a good control over digital media. He gets over it and accepts her idea of seeing Griffin.
(Vigo) Yeah, you're right, go ask Griffin, at worst he'll send you away anyway. Not like Carrion has any reputation to keep among the harpies so who cares. So Tarcisus saw the Setites, uh. Interesting. But yes, I believe you, throwing the girl between him and his Sire is a great way for Kersten to have the old bastard out of the way. Let's hope it'll go on until he leaves. He's not staying, right ? As for her bleeding out, that was so freaking odd. I think she was refering to Heudeubert, he went underground during WWII and was good pals with Degrelle. My guess is that they were poking on the Tremere as vengeance for the embrace right stolen. He left the city when Degrelle was executed.

He doesn't care about it anymore than necessary. He shrugs about the clocks and laughs a little.
(Vigo) Well it's not a bad plan, to get our hands on those. I'll worry about that and work on it with Pierre, you keep being social and stuff. As for the Duncan guy, I met him during his presentation night. He was good fun but that kid is smart, so watch out uh ! I just might use your looks to get back to Mikael ; I'll keep you in touch anyway.

The Nosferatu giggles, amused, obviously happy with the information given.
(Vigo) Anything else I should know ?

At the mention of the computer issues she pipes in:

She turns back to the computer ensuring everything has coped across okay and sends them in a quick email to Pierre along with and abbreviated notes on what she found there. As she types she continues to talk with her sire.

Carrion ponders for a moment, thinking if she missed anything and quickly sends off the email she had finished typing up. When she answers she looks at him again.

Vigo sits and then lies on the bed, thoughtful, crossing his legs and letting his arms behind his head, staring at the roof.
(Vigo) We already embraced computer pros. Pierre's good at it, actually, but Doctor gets around a computer far better than about anyone I know. And he still can't gather what the Tremere is doing with that. I was never into it anyway.

He shrugs uncaring, and chuckles.
(Vigo) Degrelle had sworn revenge against the girl and Kersten ; manipulating one of us who wanted to fuck with the Toreador of her coterie, so you know, joining what's useful to what's funny. I beleive Degrelle paid him well enough for his services, that's why he left once the Malk was executed, nobody wants that kind of reputation. He might've turned Sabbat.

He obviously couldn't care less about Heudeubert turning Sabbat or not. He keeps his voice sly and joyful, seeing the confusion he created.
(Vigo) I said, "using" your looks, not using your appearance. I'll pretend to be you when dealing with Horsman, and keep you informed of my actions so not to blow up your cover. I don't think Horsman ever cared for women anyway. You know, being a ghoul inside their pyramid... We'll manage presenting you officially soon enough anyway. Having only Scoop to move around is a little.. tight for all of us underground to use.

He uses his own feet to slip out of his sneakers, letting them fall at the bottom of the bed. He adds in.
(Vigo) If there's nothing else, I think I'll sleep.

Carrion merely shrugged at his reply adding in:

Maybe we haven't embraced the right ones then...

She allows herself to dismiss that thought before it is complete and allows him to continue with answering her other questions.

Ah, that explains a bit. Shame would have liked to know more about the Sabbat.

When he explains his plan she smirks slightly.

I would have liked following him about, the clocks of life seemed interesting. I guess I can't be in two places at once though. Please give me all the dirty details, I don't want to be caught short, trust is hard enough to cultivate in other Kindred as it is.

When the topic moves to her presentation she sits a little straighter.

I'm looking forward to the advantages quite frankly. But how will I be able to continue the ground work I've started if everyone thinks I'm a newbie to Kindred society?

When Scoop is mentioned she nods her head in understanding.

Yeah I know what you mean, I don't think I could pull Scoop off to be honest.

When he asks her if there's anything else, she shakes her head but asks one last question.

As she speaks she turns the computer off and tries to get comfortable on her bean bag, since Vigo nicked her mattress for the night.

The old Nosferatu stretches with laziness has the torpor begins to affect his body, even if the movements are closer to something he remembers from when he was alive.
(Vigo) Carrion's been around since the 80's or so, and everyone knows we don't present freshly embraced kindred right of the stove. As far as acting like a new fledgling once officially presented, don't worry about it and act as old as you are. Most Nosferatu become bitter quickly enough and we act like elders far quicker than other clans. With the exception of Ignace- hm, Igor.

He laughs about Igor's particular behavior, in opposition to how most Nosferatu act. He then smiles openly, showing most of his teeth.
(Vigo) In anyway, we might not need to lie about your age, anyway, you've created some ties and you'll be able to continue the ground work telling it was you, with the permission of Carrion. It's not the first time we've used the persona of another for new kindred to get used to the city and the people. We be shy creatures...

He shares a meaningful glance and then has an open laugh about the shyness.
(Vigo) Nah I don't plan to crash so often. And don't worry, I won't spoil your love affair with that skunk Horsman. I'll see with Igor about it all, but as far as he told me, occult stuff weren't your thing. Which is just fine. I'll keep you informed of how this subject of the old skulls ends up.

Carrion merely nods her head in understanding

(Vigo) Nice ? That harpy cold bastard ? Well yeah kinda, I guess. Don't worry about Carrion being at two places at once, as long as kindred keep being silent to each other as they usually do. No need to worry, Horsman aint the sharing kind anyway. Now it doesn't happen so often, but before we got Pierre to dispatch and assign personalities, it happened too often and could make others doubts. Now it's clear. We might present another mask as well, seems like the city needs to refill its quota of kindred anyway, so we can be a little more numerous out here without compromising everything...

She turns to face him better before speaking.

In a stiff proper kinda way yeah.

She smiles slightly remembering her first and only encounter with him before Vigo's voice drags her back to the present.

Her arm folds and she rests her head on it to make a mock pillow.

The Nosferatu nods vaguely, ignoring Carrion's appreciating the Tremere Harpy, he just doesn't care much about it.
